I do have that feeling. I wasn't so excited for a game for years. The last time was the launch of Anno 1404 as far as I remember. I basicly devoured every piece of information I could find. Same with The Witcher 3.
I don't really know myself why I got myself so hyped up, but I am enjoying it and just can't wait to play the damn game >.<

Just 40 more hours...just 40...

I just completed another playthrough of the first two games tonight. I now have complete save files for both storylines in both games, so I'm definitely ready.

It still hasn't quite hit me yet that the game is real. I mean, I saw a poster of it on the bus the other day and it occurred to me that tw3 is something more than just glimpses we get on the internet. I bet you when I wake up on Tuesday morning (game releases at 8AM Tues for me) I might short circuit.

I still can't really believe that I will be able to play this. I mean, we have all seen the previews and what not but having it on the own PC/console is just surrealistic.

I've got the day off work Tuesday. My alarm will not be switched off and I'll get up at the crack of dawn as usual. I just can't wait!!

Unfortunately, my wife has other ideas "The drive could do with jet washing" and "borrow next doors ladders to paint the fascia boards" I really hope it rains. Please rain!!

So I'm sitting here at a friends, on Kelly's laptop, scanning the forum for EVILDOERS and whatnot, listening to the dishwasher chug-chug-whoosh and I abruptly realise that tomorrow, which starts in about half an hour for me, is The Day Before Release.

It's really going to happen. And really soon. Sure, there will be some speed bumps and issues. I'll probably crash a few times or have to turn off some setting. Yes, I'll no doubt ban a half dozen people and warn twice that.

But still.

BUT STILL.

Tomorrow is The Day Before! I mean, I like Christmas, ( it has baked goods galore) but I haven't had that swoopy-excited feeling about something so kid-like since I was, well, a kid!

It's actually happening. IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING.

Yeah, the day before release is always the hardest....we had to endure the people getting the game early because of retailers that didn´t care about street date and walkthroughs posted on youtube and streams on twitch.

But we managed!

Now we just have to get over this one day and then dive head first into the world of the witcher!

Nope, it's still the day before the day before release in Asia. He's at the other end of the world, with a release date of 18th.

A Grain of Truth is my favourite of the short stories, though it isn't important in the over arching storyline.
A Matter of Price introduces you to the situation with Ciri but not her herself.
Last Wish introduces Yennefer.
Those are the most important stories in the first book.

A Grain of Truth is my favourite one aswell. But I liked basicly every single one of them. Now that you emntion it i think I'm gonna read through it again today. ^^ The Lesser Evil is also great and explains how Geralt became known as the Butcher of Blaviken. it also introduces that Witcher can deflect arrows in the air which is very cool ^^

I've never followed a game's development for so long and frankly it will be the last time. It's torture.

Who are you kidding. See you in the Cyberpunk forums after CDPR releases first materials from that game

I'm expecting my CE to arrive tomorrow so I'll spend Monday playing with all those goodies from it...drinking a lot of coffee...so when it unlocks at 1 AM Tuesday I'm up & ready to play.

Havent felt this way since gothic 3. And frankly, Ive enjoyed that game despite all the crashes and micro loading lags and all those technical issues and the missing main story line. So if CDPR deliver anything better than that, Im sold and the 4 years of wait and torture have been totally worth it.
