Witcher 3 artbook =/ Witcher 3 game compendium and expansion datadisks

Hello,
my question is simple, are those books the same or are they different, the first one, the artbook, is in the collectors edition in the game, which is sold out since june last year in my country and there is no possible way of getting that and the second one is a lovely game compendium made by dark horse.
I have a chance to get the CE of the witcher 3 wild hunt, but it would cost me twice as much as for regular folk...also I don't think it's reasonable to pay nearly 200 euro for a collectors edition where the only thing that is worth it is the statue and possibly the artbook.
But I have to know from you, directly cd projekt red if the artbook included in the CE version of the game is a different book to the game compendium released by dark horse books.

Oh and one more thing I have a standard boxed retail copy of witcher 3 the wild hunt preordered since last year in my local mortar store, but I want to have those 2 expansion datadisks too, should I buy it off steam or off gog, or it doesn't matter?

You would need to buy the GOG version of the expansions if you have the retail version of the game.

Are you 100% sure of that? Because I'll it instantly, I just have to be sure it will work with the boxed retail copy of the game. And one more question if I may, the retail boxed version of Witcher 3 the wild hunt cd key can be redeemed only through gog also? And what about those books, are they the same or are they completely different?

Yes. You need to redeem the code on GOG and yes, the retail version is only compatible with the expansion sold through GOG.
The boxed PC version of the game is compatible only with the Expansion Pass sold on GOG.com

Cool thanks. Was pissed and canceled my pre-order of WOTW when Walmart notified me of my CE cancellation. Glad to say I was able to snag a CE from Amazon, and reordered WOTW.

Erm that is not the artbook that is included in the Collectors edition of the game...That's the world of witcher the game compendium I was talking about. The artbook it seems isn't sold separately.
Although a digital version of the artbook can be obtained if you buy the game off gog.com store, but that's a shame because everything there is digital and I already have the boxed retail copy on the way, awaiting courier in a matter of few hours.
If anyone would be so kind and share the digital artbook.pdf here I would be extremely grateful...I don't want to buy the game twice I already bought the expansion pass.
