Witcher 3 Cannot Start Up

I first need to say that I've put more than 100 hours into the game since launch, up until about a month ago, when i took a quick break. Coming back to the game, however, I found a huge issue: when trying to start the game, it opens for a few sessions before shutting down and putting me back to the xbox home screen. I've tried running other games both on disk and download, with success, just not the Witcher 3. f anyone can help, or has had a similar issue, please post. (Btw im playing from disc, if that helps).

You sound like one of the lucky ones who actually. Got some. Time with the game.... .

Try wiping your game disk with a soft cloth, look for any scratches, blots etc. on it.

If it doesn't yield any results, then try clearing your Xbox One cache, a tutorial is easy to find and very easy to follow. I can give you a short version though, just cut Xbox One's access to an electrical current for about 5 minutes.

If that doesn't help, try reinstalling your game and all the DLCs (if you had any) By reinstalling I mean delete it and install again.

If those 3 fail, reset your Xbox One to factory defaults. Warning: this will delete all local saves, all profiles, all installed apps and games, mess up with your HDTV calibrations (if you had any), delete your settings and bluh bluh bluh. The last resort to say the least.
