Witcher 3 Countdown?

Just saw the countdown here: http://thewitcher.com/KillingMonsters/

I take it is the premier of the CGI Trailer of Geralt saving that woman/would be witch?

It may be, though CD Projekt said it would be something big and since we already know about the CGI trailer from the press, I would not call it big.

The speculation party's already going on over here if you want to join in :)/>

(Although a new thread is probably not a bad idea, I think this is is going to be a BIG discussion)

So they should actually release the game to make it feel big, right?

Ofcourse not, but it is a fair bit of hyperbole/overhyping to call something very big when it has been described very clearly by the press. Then again, they are supposed to hype it.

To be honest, I don't get a kick out of CGI trailers. Not like they're representative of in-game graphics.

They're an incremental step in the tease, as opposed to a pay-off.

True, plus it creates unrealistic expectations sometimes. A company shows of an extremely impressive CGI trailer and when the real gameplay ends up looking a bit different/worse it can lead to a fair bit of annoyance among fans.

Anyone who has eyes and can see the alpha-version TW3 trailer knows that graphics are not something to worry about with this game.

And c'mon guys, we're super fans and we might know of the CGI trailer and not think that it's enough, but that's not true for everyone, so let's not spoil the fun for them :]

Wuot?

Graphics do not sit at the top of my list of worries, that's for sure. And though a CGI trailer doesn't really do it for me, I am all aware of its PR power.

It's a wise move from them.

Sorry, but personally I didn't even that there was some CGI with Geralt helping a woman, so that was all new to me, so I'm excited to see whatever is being counted down to, and perhaps I'm not alone in that ^^

Oh Boy. You're cranky today, aren't you?

Of course I'm in the minority here. I'm interested, just not jubilant.
Again,

The CGI trailer is a wise move, bound to attract a lot of media interest and exposure and hopefully help TW3 become the gargantuan success it's shaping out to be.

Satisfied?

Em... TW2 expansion while in the middle of development of TW3? No, I think not.

Tis possibly a trailer, gameplay footage, something among these lines. My first thought went towards a small demo, but that's wishful thinking, and very unlikely, if not just impossible.

We will see in 28 h.

I hope it's a gameplay trailer. I've had enough of CGI and I want to see the damn game in motion. After all, in video it doesn't matter if it's 30 FPS.

You know what else would be cool? A playable demo. But maybe it's too soon for that.

And you know what would be cooler? An official announcement that they are using standard technologies for TW3 and so it will be available for all relevant PC platforms down the road, namely Linux.

But a gameplay trailer is probably more down to Earth :p
