I know who Bieber is, but I'm not american and don't find it funny. And why there is the polish developer and Biber at all?Damien Monnier @ 11:40.
Only Damien.... LOLI didn't know you were a Bieber fan. What's up with that? It's alright, it's alright. Seriously. Bieber though? It seems like everywhere he goes to present TW3 he leaves a stage burning in his wake with his off-the-wall sense of humor. I feel like someone should make a video montage of that man's stage jokes.
Agree about floodlights, I prefer the one in the 35min demo. They were visible but didn't really announce their presence. While the blood splatter screen is not to my liking, after watching it a number of times, I find Yrden the worst offender. Them purple floodlights popping out of the ground are way too conspicuous for what is supposed to be a *trap*. Will human enemies be able to avoid them if they're not daltonic? The effect lingers on trapped enemies and that is over the top. Prefer the simpler iconic version, and though It could be this is upgraded Yrden, it still strikes me as too flamboyant.
Notice I said "tall grass", but that's just one example of a terrain. Maybe the lights don't need to be that high but there needs to be more than a terrain level speckle. In the 35 min video it was basically on water level so it was easier to spot. And the FX on the enemy is to show weather or not the enemy is affected by the spell. Witcher 2 Yrden was an orange lightning so it's basically just different colour. It's either that or some sort of a bubble that slows time within it, but that would be even more over the top.Purple and green are [almost] complementary colours. Nothing would stand out more in a sea of grass than a purple speckle. I would imagine there's not going to be that many neon purple grounds for traps to disappear into. They will be visible alright, no need for those floodlights. No need for those FX on the victims either. It's going overboard.
If the traps are invisible to the human or untrained eye, then an iconic representation akin to that in the 35 min is enough. On the other hand, If they are visible to the human and even untrained eye, then a conspicuous appearance defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
Please answer meThis weekend , there will be more gameplays in the pax ???? They will show new material???
eskerrik asko (thank you in basque)
They've shown some examples, very few, but haven't discussed mechanics. For instance, during the development of Wasteland 2 inXile explained the keyword-based dialogue system and how your choices are based on collected evidence and experience. The current pitch for Underworld Ascendant includes descriptions and footage of how the world reacts dynamically to possible actions, such as casting a lighting bolt on a piece of wood. CDPR has only casually mentioned these topics, but I think they are more relevant than the, yes, impressive visuals and exciting combat. Only because this supposed to be (at least partly) an RPG.Theyve talked about it, especially with regard to how they are leveraging the open world to tell the narrative but they havent really shown any footage. A bunch of the quests+ their consequences were spoiled in the Jan previews too. They have not shown off any footage of it, no sure why.
You're talking about the hairworks feature. Likely it was turned off for the GDC demo, but you'll have the option to turn it on for certain when the retail version ships. The game is beyond beautiful. But I noticed a detail, I hope it is because of the compression, but in january's gameplay Geralt's hair had pretty hair flocks moving when he ran, in gdc video he has not... I want them too badly XD
January's demo didn't have hairworks turned on either. You're talking about the hairworks feature. Likely it was turned off for the GDC demo, but you'll have the option to turn it on for certain when the retail version ships.
I think it's PC exclusive as well, but don't quote me..
With hairworks enabled i believe yesBTW... Will hair of characters look wet when they were under the rain or there won't be any difference?
No. You are wrong. Its not same. In January hair was a bit short than GDC. And moved differently and reacted differently to wind. Look cearfully when Geralt get down from horse with Vesemir after Griffin scene. I hope you will notice difference. And look when Geralt talk to guardian and enter to camp in January footage. But for best result watch side by side. Difference you will notice when Geralt walking.January's demo didn't have hairworks turned on either.
Hair looked pretty much the same as it did back in January to be honest.
With that additude, you´re gonna be dissapointed, no matter how good the witcher 3 is.Preparing my credit card for the big moment, upgrade time! Been 4 years, I have seen many generations passing, my 560 Ti seen many games, we had great moments together, but this Witcher 3 is too much to handle, first it got me to buy the CE, first CE I ever buy, and now it tells me to upgrade to a top tier PC, and I will gladly do it, because no amount of money will get between me and this game.
CDPR, if you fail The Witcher 3, I may as well quit gaming right now, no game did that to me, no game made me that excited, anxious, hyped, I see the Holy Grail of RPG, the perfect mix of open world and great story, of combat and boobies.
<3
Fuck, forgot the motherboard, another thing to upgrade, sigh...
NO no no. You said hair looked pretty much the same. I said no. Its not. In January footage hair moved and reacted to wind differently. And reason for this i thing different hair stile.![]()
I wasn't even talking about hairstyle.
I just watched the B-roll footage again, and while hairworks wasn't turned on for most things, it was certainly turned on for Geralt and I believe maybe even Vesemir. This is likely a byproduct of the "high" setting where hairworks is only being applied to major characters.January's demo didn't have hairworks turned on either.
