Witcher 3 GOTY v1.32 CTD [Steam, no mods, verified]

Hello!

I recently purchased The Witcher 3 GOTY edition on Steam and I am experiencing frequent crashes (every approximately ~5 minutes)
The most recent crash log is attached, but the main line is:

Crash reason: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (3221225477), Error reading location 0x92c015ac

I have:
  • not installed any mods and have never used any in the past.
  • not over or under clocked any part of my PC
  • verified the games files with Steam
  • run DDU and downgraded my driver to 399.24 (I have also tried 385.69, 378.78 and 465.89 all downloaded from NVIDIA)
  • tried running the game in Borderless Windowed and Fullscreen, both crash
  • turned off FPS limiting
  • referred to: https://support.cdprojektred.com/en/witcher-3/pc/sp-technical/issue/992/my-game-crashes-4
  • Installed the game in a non Program Files directory on a HDD (I do not have a spare SSD):
    Code:
    Z:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3
  • Closed all non-essential programs besides The Witcher 3

Any tips or help would be appreciated as I would love to play this game!
