No they do not, it is clearly visible that the wolves' fur in the trailer is utilizing Nvidea's tech but to a lesser degree.

There's no way of telling, for the pack remains mostly still but for the split second the Alfa jumps on Geralt.

Even though it might be considered over the top, I wish they keep the effect in the final game. The slight exaggeration serves an aesthetic purpose and I quite like it.

Pay attention to the wolf on the right, you can see his fur move as a breeze passes through it's fur coat.

You don't honestly believe that the furs in this game would be as high res/quality as in the Tech demo from Nvidea, do you ?
The purpose of this demo is to show off what Nvidea's tech can do when maxed out, something like that in-game would destroy your system unless its toned down quite a bit just like it is in TW3 trailer.

I re-watched it in 1080p and I'm not too sure. There seems to be an almost undetectable wavering, so slight that it could be just a compression artefact.

Me too. I'm skepitcal about having such kind of full-fledged effects on mid range PC, let alone a console. To be determined.

No, of course not. But I didn't think it'd look that much worse.

I just rewatched it in 1080p as well and I'm sure I can see it in action and frankly, it's jaw dropping.

Yeah, it's true that it is a lot worse than the tech demo but it's still very pretty if you ask me.

The only thing that bothers me in all this is that the wolves are the only things that seem to be using the fur physics in the trailer.
I cross my fingers in hope that they apply it to everything that could be subject to using it.

The nVidia rep holding the presentation said that much. Everything involving fur would benefit from the tech but we'll see whether the game walks the talk.

Yeah, I'm skeptical when it comes to PR talk.

Pretty sure the fur from the trailer is not animated.

Guys, have you read my post above? The Nvidia guy clearly said at the presentation that the fur tech will be applied to the clothing as well:

Which means that it's safe to assume that the fur clothing of the guards in the trailer was still a placeholder.

It's just a pre-alpha. Anyway, I think it is already implemented by now.

I think how it even looks there is alright. Now just apply it to hair and beards and we are golden! Remember how out of place boussy's hair and zoltan's beard looked in W2?
