I mean, the snow for example, the particles differed in size, direction, speed, while still adhering to wind and the laws of physics. Now snow is just uniform white hexagons.
Basically same with rain. Although rain is a different issue, it is terribly lit
Not to mention the fact that for some godawful reason, they decided to make it so that when it snows, all the foliage turns white. Literally. I have used the debug console to switch between clear and snowy weather in Skellige, and the difference is completely ridiculous. In 2013 build, the snow was there but the green, crisp atmosphere still existed.
And rain has a similar effect. Whenever it rains, the game becomes unrealistically dark. Why is it that when it rains at 11AM, the sky becomes nearly pitch black? In some EXTREME cases this can occur naturally..but the vast majority of times it still looks like DAY TIME.
