Of course it's good as the entire game but different from the SOD trailer or VGX, and I would have preferred "that" atmosphere..

I highly dislike that speed tree crap, it looks awfull in any game, but people tend to like that wobbling stuff.

I can easaly forgive all that including the different renderhead as w3 is top and the best rpg since gothic 1 imoh.

Actually speed tree is amazing software. You can creat anamzing high poly and low poly trees.It dependon how gameengine handle this. I use speed tree with Unreal engine 4.And result is outsdanding. UE4 handle speed tree very good. But it seems Redengine is different. Or maybe it depends on world setting. I mean if i will create the scene similar with Witcher 3 world and foliage the result will similar in UE4 too. So speed tree is good software.

If they could only bring back those character models from SoD and 35 minut Demo Gameplay and lightning sytem:

The character models there acutally appear to be the same but the lighting in the 35 minute demo is vastly superior, no doubt.

Geralt and Johnny also used to have a lot better (more lifelike) animations in the cutscenes compared to the finished product.

Not just the lighting but the textures and meshes.

Those cutscens in Demo looked almost like CGI to me. I can only guess that now faces have less details, cause if you watch carefully, you could see that animation and facial expression looks worse. No one needs 2013 and VGX graphic now, but if they could achive what was on this DEMO, i would buy this game a second time :D

In e3 xbox one and 35 min gameplay the shaders of Geralt's outfit and many other things were different. Even the stone walls in Novigrad reacted to light different. For example Geralt's outfit looked more dark when light illuminated them. I mean the colors was same. But shaders were more complex. But now the materials are more simple. It is still PBR but may be in early gameplay they used specular PBR method but now it is metallic workflow. So reflections on surface was more interesting and was more ability to changing the reflective color with specular workflow. I do not know what is the workflow for PBR rendering in Redengine but i think this is a reason of difference on Geralt's outfit material.

This is not downgrade but technically different method. What i try to say, in early footages shaders was more beautiful. So it is interesting can we will change shaders or even shader methods with Redkit? If yes, so my first mod will change that shaders of course if i will have free time;) . In UE4 we can workwith both of that PBR methods, so i hope here we will too if Redkit will give us that freedome.

It's a set of things, models, lighting, grass and more, that they could make the game better. All of us are happy with witcher 3 but think as would have been with elements on SOD trailer, no one can deny that the experience would have been even more immersive.

If we are talking about the 35 demo as a whole then yes the meshes were also better before. However I don't really notice a change when it comes to the texture quality, shaders though are a different story.

Amazing model and lighting in the right image.
I think the best way to say this is that those graphics would match the quality of story nd gameplay.

i dunno. the atmosphere comes from the lighting and the default lighting makes the game look like a cartoon, it just isnt very witcher like to me, luckily sweetfx is an easy fix for that. i don't really care about the other stuff but i'm sure modders will improve textures and character models at some point!

Some folk dont get it seriously, that comparison picture is from a different time of day, so that compare is false as hell.

May be TOD or weather is not same in that picture but we already saw many footage in same TOD and weather. And the graphics are not same.

In the 35 min demo it's day light but once he enters the swamp it becomes dark and foggy, a lot of atmosphere. Now it's very bright in the swamp during the day, different time of day does not matter in the comparison pictures. You can clearly see the 35min demo one is much better
