Witcher 3 Loot system

Is there any information on the type of loot system that will be in the Witcher 3? Will it be random, or static?

I hope it's mostly static, because I really hate completely random loot where you get different loot every single time. Dragon Age Inquisition is like that, and even more the game seems to hand out the best loot during the first encounter. If you reload, then the quality of the loot diminishes noticeably..

I really hope the Witcher 3 isn't like that, and that we're guaranteed to get the same loot regardless or circumstances. Of course, a slight amount of stochasticity should be injected, but only for ordinary things (ie junk) rather than important weapons and gear..

What say you guys and gals?

I guess it's random. If I well remember, it has been said in the interview thread.

I dont think we really know. During the Q and A the guy did mention that loot was logical, so you wont be looting an axe off the corpse of a Wolf. However if a bandit attacks with an axe he has a "high chance" to drop an axe. So it seems like it could be a bit of both.

I would prefer static loot as well. I'm not really sure of the technical difficulties of doing it one way versus the other. Sounds to me like it would be more taxing for the game to remember what every person carries rather than just pick a random assortment of items at the time the npc drops or chest is opened. If it can be done simply, static loot would be preferred. But I wont be upset if it's random.

In the world setting "trailer" Monnier told that "Each one [of the points of interest] is handcrafted with its own challenge, its own story, and, most importantly, its own reward". I believe that means that POI have static loot. That doesn't mean, however, that there won't be places where loot is random or semi-random, I believe.

It will probably be a mix of the two, with trash mobs having random loot and special mobs and locations having pre-determined loot.
By 'locations' i mean chests or something else with a reward for exploring that location.

Ay, most likely a blend of the two. I prefer static loot for chests and such. Assassins of Kings had a bit too much random, worthless junk loot, which most often made no real, practical sense. Why would brigands carry only a bit of string and a piece of iron ore, after all?

I don't think DAI had complete random loot, I fought one dragon several times and the only items that had random quantity were her scales and bones, the rare (purple) item(s) were always the same and they dropped every time. I guess it will be same in TW3, random for normal items/ingredients and static for rare items.

I am personally more curious about the re spawn system, it has been revealed that the enemies won't re spawn so does this apply to wild life as well ? if not then how much time they take to re spawn. My concern is if we need some crafting/smithing material and that drops from wild life then we might have to search too long and in different areas.
