Well, the prologue part will be quite spoiled I think. But what matters is their opinion on the gameplay, which we will have from plenty people from around the world

Very interesting article.
'The Witcher 3 toys(plays) with our feeling like no other RPG did before.' This quest is one of the best quests GameStar ever saw in an RPG, is named something like 'The Bloody Baron'

'Ultra looks gorgeous, runs even smoother than the old build on high-settings.'
'Can be really accesible, but can be a hardcore RPG too, depending on your settings.'

Confirmation, that you can follow the guy(the temerian soldier) from the Precious cargo quest to their hideout.
Apparently the gameworld is bigger than GameStar initially thought.
Roach can randomly eat something, for example, it ate an apple from a fallen basket

The 2 days with The Witcher 3 were one of the most beautiful, most exciting and overwhelming things the author of the article ever experienced in his entire gaming career.

Excellent information, great to hear that Ultra settings run smoothly.

Also, loving the 3 new screenshots from facebook!

this are the seven books in collectors ed.
you also have a prequel (season of storms) and the stories are in a compilation named Path of no return.

and you have the 2 games and the comics. so you have a lot to read XD
if you cant find the fisical book you can always search for the ebook.

I'M so sad :(
I wish I had them in hard cover format
Unfortunately the English versions are mostly only available in paperback....

Anyway, I got all books that are available so far, which is:

The Last Wish
Blood of Elves
Time of Contempt
Baptism of Fire

I also read The Sword of Destiny though (fan translation), and am planning on reading the Tower of Swallow and the Lady of the Lake. I will also, once they are released, buy the books in English.

You know, theoretically I could just buy them in German and read them all. But to be honest I haven't read a German book in ages and I played all Witcher games in English (actually I play all my games in English), so that just wouldn't feel right.

You know, there is so much actual PRAISE and HYPE for this game, if it wouldn't be CDPR we are talking about I would be really worried about the final quality of the game, because normally (again, NORMALLY) a game can't possibly be that good and most games like this are just overpraised. But it's CDPR, so I', pretty confident at least MOST impressions and arguments for the games quality are actually true.

What's "class B" about a tower filled with swallowing? That's AAA-Level.

I really doubt it. But then again CDPR did what other company's couldn't do in RPGs and made quality quests for side quest and main story quest and made it about 100 hours long or more. That's why you don't see these kind of RPGs with that many choices or dialogue options because of budget restrictions. It would be a massive hit for a beget to go from 2 or 3 choices to 5 or 8. Games like Balders Gate, Planescape: Torment and Pillers of Eternity have many choices and ways they can end a quest. But they sacrifice presentation, facial animation and voice acting to do that.

Reading and choosing through 5 to 8 choices in every single dialog would be annoying as well. Better have 2 or 3 choices but which change depending on what you chose previously.

Said no one ever. My good any RPG fan would never say that. CDPR said previously that more choices in the dialogue wouldn't be possible at the moment because of budget restrictions, which is fairly reasonable.

Well if it isn't necessary to have more then 3 options in a chat tree, then I don't see why it would be more...
If you can resolve the quest (say the precious cargo quest) by A: turning him in, B: Letting him go, C: compromise, then that's totally okay. Why would you add extra unnecessary choices/stuff in there? It has to make sense, and it can make sense with 'just' 2-3 options.
And the 'any RPG fan would never say that' comment is BS in my opinion. After 100 hours of side quests I would like to get 'normal and straight options.

I totally agree with you on the part that if there doesn't need more than 3 options then there shouldn't be more of course. But it's not about straight options, it's about having the option you want. A lot of times they were moments in which i couldn't do what i wanted or there was no option to say what i wanted. And if you are compiling about passing 100 hours reading options and story well i don't know what you were expecting because that's a big part in RPGs.

I agree with you that many RPG's that have been released the last few years has some silly options in the tree (like I would resolve a situation very differently and easier, and is possible in that situation, then the game let's me pick). But I always thought that was just me being weird or expecting to much of a game, or thinking that the game had iffy writing.
I really like Pillars of Eternity for the simple reason they let me choose what I actually would pick.

But in the case of the Witcher, it depends. Since the writing for the game is really good and they don't strip away stuff, just to make it easier for the players. I am confident we will get the conversation options we want. (besides the witcher games never had huge conversation trees like the old RPG's (baldur's gate etc.))

Also there are options not in the dialogue in The Witcher 3 too, apparently. You know, you can let the guy go and follow him to his hideout (hinted by GingerEffect) and etc. If they put those not so apparent options in several situations, I'd be a happy nerd to try to follow a different path in every playthrough :)

Actually it will be much smarter then dialogue options.
