I think they've made Geralt attractive because people have to want to play as this character. If he was as ugly as Sapkowski described him it'd be a tough sell.

A handsome man with his face filled with horrible scares always will be describe as ugly. Add yellow eyes, fekine retractile pupils and white hair and who in a middle age won't call him "ugly" or "monster"?

Witcher 3 gameplay in 30 minutes?

I certainly hope so. Some people in the twitter replies are guessing that it's about Risen 3 for some bizare reason. I sure hope not, i don't have any interest watching Joe whine another 30 minutes about a Risen game and it's "difficulty" and "Bad combat design" while not trying to play good in any way shape or form.

He does? I thought 'generic-western-white-male-videogame-character' would look way to buffed and have big muscle's slapped on just for the sake of it...
Geralt might look a bit like that, but he's not as broad as a 'generic-western-white-male-videogame-character' and has good reason to look the way he does. He is mutated and is stronger and faster then a normal human, shouldn't he then look stronger and faster then a normal human? Especially since he actually partakes in these physical activities. (both with monsters and women ;P )
And most of his scar's actually have a backstory, they are not just there for the 'cool' factor.

I was just talking about his face, not his body build.

Btw, that should be pretty close to the Geralt how Sapkowski envisioned him:

AJ has some sort of feud with the Risen games, his reviews about them are rather funny.

Yeah, i know. And i am quite tired of it. I don't have anything against him disliking the games. I am the first to admit that they have a tons of flaws and there are a lot of valid reasons to dislike them, but most of his videos about them focuss either on very petty reasons or arguments that show that he didn't really try to get into the game.
And since he allready did an expansive video of him ranting about Risen 3, doing another one seems like it would mostly be fanservice.

Totally! Risen 3 was a lot better than Risen 2, but it still couldn't reach Risen 1.
