Another reason could be that Gopher is just extremely sensitive to anything below 60 fps and the Gamestar journalist isn't. I have followed Gopher on YouTube for over two years now and in some videos he does mention that he find even slightly below 60 fps extremely annoying and unpleasant and he will do almost everything to have it above.
Am i the only one that now instead of feeling excitement and happiness at seeing a new w3 gameplay video. feels mostly agony now? Your mind screaming "GOD WHY ISNT IT MAY 19 YET!!!??"
We kinda already have hours and hours. Just go back from this page and you'll get your fill.

Or not? I dunno, personally there's more gameplay than I can ask for. I actually didn't even watch it all.
The only thing I can think of at the moment that will interest me is a high-level, swordsmanship focused Geralt in a combat video, to see just how different are the animations, or if it's just a token addition here and there to his moves.
Btw, do you guys know what's with the difference between what Gopher says about the requirements and settings, and what GameStar said?
GameStar said that they had everything turned on, including hairworks, and ran it at 60 fps. Gopher in contrast says that when he turned on hairworks, performance took a massive hit. Did I misunderstand something? If not, why the differences?
What I'm referring to is over a month and a half old. This right here,I only watched the english and portuguese versions cant understand a word in other languages so...
GameStar said:Without restrictions means that even with maximum graphic details. So we cranked up all different types of configurable graphics options from the grass density to texture, water and terrain details to 'Ultra'. Because in our PC (Intel i7-4790, 16GB RAM) there was also a Geforce GTX 980, we were also able to activate the option "Nvidia Hair Works". [...]
But what's even more important than all the graphic splendor: Even with ultra details the game ran at 60 frames per second and a lot smoother than the Preview code from the press event in January did, where we "only" saw the game on High details. Only in the densely populated Novigrad there was some noticeable stuttering, but CD project aims to optimize the performance up to the launch even further.

Reptile's post is from 19-03. When did the YouTubers visit CDPR? At around mid-April, right? Can't remember exactly. I imagine GameStar visited at mid-March, a bit before that translation of Reptile. @OliverDK I find it weird that GameStar played a better build than the YouTubers who went to a later event. I think I'm confusing something here. If it's just Gopher being uber-sensitive, well...![]()
Ohhh, recording. Maybe that is the missing link.IIRC: I read somewhere that Hairworks doesn't play nice with Shadowplay which they apparently used to record the footage.

Yeah, likewise.I hope recording is the issue, my heart sunk a little when Gopher said that.
What the...Gopher said he tried hairworks on the second day when they weren't recording.
as for him being sensitive.. well could be, but he was really dissing it.

They weren't, no. But I can't begin to answer why they would play a less advanced build of the game than GameStar, more than a month after GameStar had their hands on it, and just a few days before the Gold was announced.25 FPS....well shit. Technically I don't think they were playing the latest build though. Hope dies last.
