i'm confident the game will deliver on the hype and on all its promesses, including graphically.

true, but i want to meet once in a while a monster who's a genius and give me a lot of trouble. it'd be something like in the books: you find this bruxa who's a bit particular from her other counterparts, who's a smart cookie and would read your every move or perhaps lure you into a trap. idk something like that.

While the story about the prototype build too advanced for consoles might be true, those tech. details are mostly BS, AO is still in the game, reflections are still in the game, and that last point is a lie because blood splatters in water were present in XBONE footage from E3 2014...

I just hope they put my well spent money to use and get me a good Enhanced Edition down the road and I'm all good. Even if they aren't I'm still good, but less graphically satisfied, doesn't matter

Yeah I thought that AO being mentioned is weird, since the PC version has HBAO+, unless within that there are different levels of quality which could've been tweaked.
reflections are said to have been replaced with another cheaper solution, not just taken out.
and the blood splatters, that was the E3214 footage, the game now looks quite different from the E3 footage in all platforms, I'd imagine that if they did took some things out or reduced them, it was progressive, not just one day.
Awesome to hear a dev talking about it, Jose of everyone else, always completely open and honest, thanks a lot for that video! Actually made the downgrade issue much more calm for me hearing his explanations. Yeah most of it is known and all but good to get the smaller details from a professional in this field.

I removed the link because it has been fuelling a lot of crap the entire day.
Anyway, that article/image is a load of horseshit. "AO removed" that's not even a performance considering one has to take, AO is literally a post-process effect not something you have to go out of your way to work tirelessly to implement/remove.
Reflections are still there, there is no 'cheaper solution' for such reflections, there's Screen Space Reflections or there's the older method that ONLY worked on planar surfaces and it was RIDICULOUSLY taxing, we're talking 2 reflections killing performance tier of taxing, had to be used extremely sparingly. And it didn't... 'reflect' reflections' etc. SSR has lower image quality but a lot of advantages, can reflect other reflections, applied to *almost* every object(planar or otherwise).... but I digress...

Some people are just lucky, there should be some rules with release dates in youtube also. I think he will get good amount of views and maybe some cash because of those advertisement.
