Did you watch the footage in the city? Shadows appearing on the walls constantly, very close to the player. Trees on balconies, rails. Just watch the video better.

There will always be stuff like that in dense areas. Can't be avoided in order to maintain a steady framerate. I guess you will be able to tweak the ini files for that if you have a super beefy PC.

And I've watched the video very closely. I just don't agree with you that it was that annoying. It's visible here and there - if you look out for stuff like that - but imho not really bad that it would deteriote the experience. But then again, different people, different priorities.

The game release on Steam has changed. Why? The game was going to be launched on 19 May 0:00 GMT and now it's on 19 May 18:00 GMT!!

I hope this is a mistake from Steam :mean:

It's almost like you should've supported CDPR by buying it on GOG or something!

Btw I think this will land in the off topic category but the recent downgrade thing is so big that this should be called news lol ? besides I don't know where else I can post this, Youtube user Docm77 (who recently conducted interview from Jose Teixeira) shared two screenshots from the PC build (ultra quality) and showed some walls, textures are good and building tessellation is still in the game (specially in second screenshot).

NOTE: If mods think this shouldn't be here then please move it to appropriate thread. Thanks :)

it's been already "confirmed" that tessalation of ground, buildings, as well as water to be in the game. (check the link below)

also, with each video it seems the game is looking better 0.0
we're almost on the same level of the SOD trailer, if not already there  (check the screenshots of this french review, especially the clouds and lightning system http://www.jeuxvideo.com/test/425758/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-l-ouverture-d-un-monde.htm )

on the ign stream a day or two ago they once again mentioned/answered that you can play after the credits.
this is not really a spoiler but it could be an indication of what kind of ending we will have. they said that after the credits the worldstate before the last few bossfights gets restored (with obviously the quests connected to the actual story being unavailable). so does that mean that after the story ends Geralt or even the world is not in a state the game could still work in? I find being dumped back into the world after credits and being told "what you just did didn't happen, go play" is a bit immersion breaking and anticlimactic.. what do you think?

I think, I missed something. Is there a new release date? Currently you can already buy The Wichter 3 in Germany at Saturn, Media Markt or Gamestop.

One friend bought it for ps 4 today and we is already playing. And I have to wait for Amazon delievery till tuesday. I am a little confused...

It's really hard to tell if the walls are tessellated in those screenshots because of the angle. I really hope they are though..

I haven't seen any CDPR dev explicitly confirm that building tessellation is in..

Pop in will still be a thing for a long time no matter what game it is so you gotta get used to it.

Well I also hope it's true, I too haven't heard anything official about Tessellation though the corner bricks of gate wall in second screenshot appears to have nicely varied geometry (something that was completely flat in the Novigrad screenshot). This lead me to believe that it's a bug that won't be present in final build or the patched build.

This shows that the Novigrad wall issue is still present in the PC version. I really hope it's a bug and gets fixed in the patch, it looks bad :(
