I have no idea, did they even release uncompressed footage of that? All I see is a YT version with compression artifacts out the ass, its hard to see any finer details. Maybe its because it was the first real time demo and you've attached some sort of weird nostalgia to it.

Yeah maybe. But don t get me wrong people. I am really am really impressed by the actual game. It s better on most levels I recognise that.

Guys, here follows my interview with Jose Teixeira, with audio in BR and PT Portuguse and subtitles in English
The hole article if anyone is interested (although the important part is the video): http://www.witcherbr.com/2015/04/entrevista-exclusiva-com-jose-teixeira.html#more
I would like to thank Jose for his patience and time to answer the questions from the community (from here and the Brazilian community) and also thank CD Projekt RED for this wonderful game and for this amazing attention given to my Country :) . You guys rocks!

Going to a discussion side, there where many other questions other than those on the video. On the fan Q&A, the majority where those normal questions (how long, how you will make it intresting, etc...) but, there were some that stood up (a pitty I coudn't film).

The first one was a answer about the the remasterization of The Witcher 1 and 2. By the Reds answer, the materials from both prequels will be available to us on the new RedKit engine.

Second, the expansions will be really big. And they are already in production, so they can be launched on the mentioned release dates.

Third, they tooked a deeply care with the localizations. They tried to be as realistic as possible (in language maturity) in all of them. In the specific case of the Brazilian localization, it suffered some changes as the actors were voicing english words with english accents and the RED localization team insisted that they needed to drop the english accent and started using a more natural tone..

Thanks guilhermecn.

I remember around a month ago another clickbait visuals article pointed out the differences between the SoD Igni and the PAX one. Jose says here that Signs also improve visually as you upgrade them, so it could be that. Or, y'know, a downgrade.

Thanks so much guilhermecn! A new Jose interview is always appreciated.

Jose really loves his volumetric fog doesn't he? :) I'm glad he is still pushing for them. This guy will add a lot to the market, mark my words ;)

Holyshit. Someone recreating TW1 and TW2 in RedEngine 3 would be glorious...

Great interview. Thanks for that! So is it just my interpretation or did Jose pretty much confirm a threesome with Triss and Yen?

I did, many many times:)
Still, there was no indication the right woman is triss. And the left one being Yen was also not 100% clear (although she is wearing the same bra)
If that's really the case i wonder what Geralt did to convince Yen considering her rabid jealousy in the books

Would only be fair, considering what Yen did to Geralt in the last wish:angry:
Now I don't care anymore about trying to find Ciri and defeating the Wild Hunt. Finding a way to get Triss and Yen into the same bed at the same time is now the most important task. I have to set priorities....

Sign effects changing with upgrades sounds awesome! I'm so glad to see CDPR taking special care about gameplay as well as story this time.

Awesome interview, awesome guy too!

It seems like they have the technology to make graphics that we will see in only 5-10 years but hardware can't handle it yet... What a shame :p

That would be awesome :) . But it also would be amazing if we could walk through some swamps with heavy fog with lots of monster ansd such. I guess we will have to wait and see

I thing the fog in IGN demo was already amazing. In village and in swamp where Geralt died. To be honest i did not expect this beautiful fog without volumetric.

I hope the fog effect is something they will apply to the game in the near future or the very least give players the option to add it if they like and can handle it performance wise. It would do wonders to the atmosphere and I can from the material we have available think of many places where it would add a much more dense feeling to the whole environment. The swamps as already mentioned but imagine early morning hours down by the docks of Novigrad where the sea and the streets are covered in a light fog that evaporates slowly as the sun takes power and creeps in again as the night closes in. Or the rolling hills with the same effect. It would be absolutely beautiful.

Well a guy can dream!
