Thanks. Here's to Eventually.....

Good to know that something else might happen if he isn't caught. Lots of things to explore, and I wonder how this 5 minutes might ripple into the game later on.

what percentage of decisions have a visible, large or small result? I can not imagine the complexity of the final schema of the entire script

And to think I once complained of the lack of footage, we are getting buried by it now.

Danny O'Dwyer from Gamespot on Neogaf:
Hey guys,

Really enjoyed reading these threads - it was a good gauge to make sure we were doing out job of highlighting information without getting too spoiler. Sorry if the Botchling seemed like a reveal too many - honestly, it's the thing that happens NEXT in that quest line that we wanted to hide. So don't worry there's more to enjoy there.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for watching these. Historically preview footage fucking dies on it's arse because it's either clearly done in co-operation with the developer or just isn't interesting or well produces enough. We sort of jump on a grenade with this stuff, by the time the trip is booked we've already committed to trying to produce a bunch of interesting videos that will (hopefully) traffic well and provide a service to the audience. Which is a massive risk because we had zero guarantees on what we'd get to see and what gameplay we'd end up getting.

So this stuff takes a lot of time, energy and emailing to make them work. But to see people watching them is incredibly relieving and satisfying to myself and Andy. It also makes it so that we can get to do these again and again. And in a world where YouTubers get x10 more views for playing 4 minutes of some random shit this means all the world.

So yea - I just wanted to say thanks very much for watching, for sharing, and for allowing us to do what we do. It's been a long, often-testing project but I'll sleep well tonight thanks to you guys.

Oh - and for those who just want to see sick gameplay and dive into the interviews, tomorrow and Friday we'll be putting up all the gameplay and full transcriptions of the four interviews we had. We want to share everything we learned, and even 35 minutes of video didn't cover it all.

Good to see the videos worked out for them, I certainly enjoyed them, there was obviously a lot of effort put into producing them and it's the type of content I'd love to see more of from gaming websites.

Tru, but what I find epecially refreshing this time around is: It's all very transparent and in the open... the courting of the media, the preview events,... I think it will lead to a much more sincere, objective opinion from the press. I, for one, believe the hype, and I generally don't. I wasn't that stoked for a RPG since, wow, the original Dragon Age?

Is it just me or has the lip syncing gotten worse?

@octavian123 actually lip sync is better now. You can see it from Charles Dance video. compare it with SOD trailer. It is better now.

I think he said that because of the merchant in the chest quest. I realized that his lip-syncing wasn't that good as well. I'm guessing it's because of the weird accent of the guy (as their lip syncing technology is automated based on speech). Other characters so far had pretty impressive sync so far (Emhyr is even perfect :) )

Well, the scene with Emhyr at the throne was an actual cutscene where lip sync was done form scratch and it doesn't use the same technique like the one from dialogue cutscenes.
At 0:05 from Charles Dance trailer, that one is a regular dialogue cutscene with Emhyr.

I meant all of the dialogues that we have seen of him so far. I think the example scene that you gave was nearly perfect as well.

I haven't seen that yet, I was referring to the merchant quest. Lip syncing quality seems inconsistent. Maybe main quests will have better lip syncing.

Just a short note here when it comes to Quests and the number of them.

Ignore this.

The number of quests in the game has nothing to do with how many adventures you will actually have. Many Quests will stay with you for very long periods of the game and guide you along other quests and a lot of encounters might not even have Journal Entries, but still have a storyline to them.

In other words, the numbers don't mean anything. It's all about how you experience and play the game, which is why reports on the game length have been so varied.

My humble suggestion....ignore the numbers and when the game launches, just let yourself experience where the stories take you. I promise we did all we could to fill any path you can take with interesting things for you to experience.

Cheers and good night!

This is already well known around here, but I still just wanted to point out how cool you guys are. I've really never seen other developers so actively involved in their own forums. Answering questions, and reassuring members about topics and such. But more importantly, doing so honestly - bro to bro without pr bull and the like.

Anyone who doesn't see how awesome The Witcher 3 looks to be, by now, lives in a cave up in a mountain somewhere ;p

You guys @RED have clearly went balls to the wall with this one, and it shows.

Yeah, I just had to get that out there ;p Stay awesome.
