I started the post, because I hate when I have to pay more for the same things than people in other countries and the regional price difference is huge for W3.
I didn't know GOG.com had different prices. No-DRM, Fair Price Policy and Money back guarantee are their 3 big claims and definetely the reason why I think GOG.com is great. But know it turns out the Fair Price Policy isn't executed...

Being in Germany, I am used to being charge more for just about everything. Game is clear, but far worst is software. Software like Photoshop & Maya cost literally double the price here than in America. Adobe gave lame excuse like taxes & localisation cost to do business in EU, which is obviously BS since its online & no one need a localise version of photoshop!

But from what I heardm even online shopping are taxed, which explain why thing is always more expensive here, as the tax in EU is very high.

Edit: checked GOG.com, & Witcher 3 is €59,99.

IMO the thing with taxes is just a lame excuse. Look at the VAT rate in each country and the price:

- Poland VAT of 23% with W3 at 28 Euro
- Germany VAT of 19% with W3 at 45 Euro
- Luxembourg VAT of 15% with W3 at 60 Euro (Steam bills for European customers are from their Luxembourg office)

So even thought Poland has the highest VAT it has by far the lowest W3 price.
BTW I am again surpised that W3 for German customers costs 60 Euro on GOG, where Saturn.de and Amazon.de sells it for 45 Euro.

Got this as a reply from GOG:

"I'm afraid that our current deals with publishers usually only allow us to release games for certain prices, and we do not practice price-matching. You are, however, free to wait for discount or get it somewhere else if you feel that we charge too much."

So that's that.

They didn't even bother to answer my follow-up to their standard response.
And here I thought that GOG was one of the last honest companies...
