I’m running into a weird cross-progression issue with The Witcher 3 between my PS5 and Nintendo Switch and I’m hoping someone here has a fix or has experienced the same problem!
The core issue: My PS5 cannot download cloud saves uploaded from my Switch, but my Switch works perfectly fine downloading cloud saves from the PS5. I’ve double and triple checked everything basic, and it all checks out – same account, matching game versions, no obvious errors.

Key Details (100% Confirmed)
- Account: Exact same CDPR/GOG account logged in on both PS5 and Switch (no typos, no different accounts)
- Game Versions: PS5 native next-gen version 4.04, Switch version 4.04b (both the latest official builds)
- Switch Status: Can upload saves to CDPR cloud (cloud icon shows) and download PS5 cloud saves with zero issues
- PS5 Status: Can see the full list of Switch cloud saves in the cross-progression menu, but clicking "download" just fails .
What I’ve Tried (All No Luck)
- Changed PS5 DNS to Google (8.8.8.8), and Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) + full PS5/network restart
- Cleared PS5 system cache via safe mode and re-logged into my CDPR account in-game
- Re-uploaded fresh, new saves from the Switch to the cloud and deleted old duplicate saves on GOG
- Full power cycle of my router/modem and restarted the PS5 multiple time
