Yeah I thought Dragonbird was a dude for the longest as well. I don't know why though. There's nothing inherently masculine about her writing style or anything.

It's easy to assume that most people you encounter on the net are male, unless they have a very feminine handle..

This led to anyone claiming to be female to instantly be accosted with demands of "proof" (eventually codified as "Tits or GTFO")

Don't even THINK of asking, as a refusal often offends. And my refusals can be VERY offensive.
Which is probably a good moment to suggest a return to topic? Which was extra-large.... something....

The devs have communicated very little about the PC port of the game. Maybe because of some promotion deal with the console companies? We haven't seen any "max settings ultra" confirmed gameplay videos or pc settings information, so it makes me think they aren't showing things/communication PC info on purpose. I'm sure the devs have received the messages about people wanting 21:9 support either through the forums or twitter so I'm pretty confident it will be working day one.

Feeding the Speculation: If you mosey yourself on over to http://thewitcher.com/witcher3/ on a 21:9 monitor right now...

You experience a beautiful, well done webpage designed for (no side bars) 21:9 monitors:wub:

This is indeed a good sign, along with the footage that the mod pointed out. But for the love of God why won't they just confirm it??

Fine, CDPR, I'm going to buckle and preorder. But I am going to be peeved if this turns out to be false hope.

R* didn't comment any inquiries regarding the 21:9 support in GTAV either before the launch and the game still shipped with native support.

As for the reasons why devs seem to be reluctant to answer this, I really don't know for sure.

It's just a fluid webpage, instead of no side bars the image is zoomed in and you can't see as much vertically as you would if the page did have side bars.
Don't get me wrong, the sidebars on 21:9 are bloody ridiculous, but I would rather side bars than pages with images that are effectively cropped vertically instead.

Don't preorder. CDPR doesn't need the money. Wait for the game to come out and then order it. Your download will be delayed by exactly as long as it takes you to check reviews and see if 21:9 is included. Or just check this thread.

Honestly, if ANYONE is unsure in the LEAST, I advise you not to preorder. Although CDPR marketing pays me many grommets of weaselweight every Autumn, (carried by Pigeon, of course, in the traditional manner), that doesn't mean that I side with them on this preorder thing.

Wait. See how the reviews look. Then buy. Not like digital stocks are going to run out.

I didn't know they still circulated weaselweight! What's the going exchange rate these days, anyway?

Yup. I'm planning on playing the game as soon as it unlocks and will definitely test if it supports 21:9. I'll try to remember to update the thread asap if anyone else doesn't.

11.

Anyway, for anyone concerned about 21:9, look and see how helpful your fellow forumgoers will be! No need to doubt or worry. SImply have your mouse cursor hovering over the Buy option in GoG, (Don't forget the Expansions!) and as soon as you see eskiMoe (We really say InuIT, now) or Henry post their results, let loose!

Ah, the internets. So handy.

This is good advice, but for me the preorder is simply an act of convenience, not necessarily trust or support. I preorder so that I can pre-load, and also for the minimal monetary discount. In this case, I'm confident that TW3 will be fixed eventually by modders if it ships without 21:9 support, and worst case scenario, I'll just sit on it 'til that day comes. That's my thinking, anyway. I held out for an answer so that I could preorder with confidence, but this late in the game, I'm just going to risk it and if I'm disappointed, well, GTA V will be waiting to take me back into her glorious ultra-wide arms. #21:9.

You make an excellent point and I'd -really- like to see it that everyone can load the client, but like MMOs, you can't run it until you buy it on GoG or Steam. Ah, well. Perhaps by CP2077 that will be the norm.

Witcher 3 Resolutions at launch

So does anybody know if the witcher 3 wild hunt is going to support 3440 1440 ?
I just brought a new monitor for the higher resolution gaming and wider viewing angle.

Much appreciated.
