Well I suppose neglecting XBOne will void CDP a huge amount of revenue, which will be used to create better games. I do not agree with this completely but I understand!blalex123 said:I have one question CDPR: if you guys do not believe in DRM why release your game on a console that completely supports it. It kind of makes it seem like you are just passive about it.
I personally will be buying the Witcher 3 on PS4, I just was wondering about this.
They were able to patch the game on Steam to essentially remove the DRM restrictions. No such patch can be put out on the Xbox One since all patches have to go through Microsoft first.vivaxardas said:They released TW2 on Steam, which is a DRM-platform as well. So what? May be they will give a free GOG copy to everyone who bought TW3, does not matter what platform. That would be nice.
.gregski said:CDPR are a business, already hiring almost 200 people that need to be paid salaries. If that's not an obvious reason, I would add that they give people choices:
1. Buy the game on Xbox One OR PS4
2. Buy the game on PC from Steam(DRM but has its benefits)
3. Buy the game on PC from retail
4. Buy the game on PC from GOG, DRM-free with all the goodies
Most of the big publishers do not do point no.4, that's one thing among many that sets CDPR apart in terms of DRM-free games support. Not mentioning that they own GOG.COM, that has done many good for DRM-free gaming in general.
I'm more than that, that's why I own 3 copies of each game. Now only waiting to buy CE od both since can't get them from here. If only CDP opened their own online store and ship to more places.paulcz said:Every self-respecting gamer should buy this on GOG and give CDP 100% of money paid, instead of 70% (steam) or 30% (consoles).

That's the part I'm wondering about and would love to hear a response from them on. Though I do understand from a business point of view it makes sense. Just from a morals and ethics point of view it doesn't.Senteria said:I will most likely pre-order it on GOG. But then there's this collector's box out there too. Also, since purchasers of the witcher 1 and 2 got a free back up on GOG. I feel like I'd have gotten more if I bought the game somewhere outside of GOG considering everyone got a free back up with probably the same goodies as I have on my GOG shelf. Maybe I should go for the collector's item and cross my fingers for a free GOG backup?
It's also a bit contradictory for them releasing it on the DRM-BOX though I understand why.
Yeah, well, I have a GOG version, a Collector's edition PC version, US Xbox 360 boxed version, downloadable on-demand xbox 360 version, and I bought 6 xbox 360 copies as gifts for my buds. Call me an overachiever.paulcz said:Every self-respecting gamer should buy this on GOG and give CDP 100% of money paid, instead of 70% (steam) or 30% (consoles).

Can I be your friend?vivaxardas said:Yeah, well, I have a GOG version, a Collector's edition PC version, US Xbox 360 boxed version, downloadable on-demand xbox 360 version, and I bought 6 xbox 360 copies as gifts for my buds. Call me an overachiever.
If TW3 turns out as it looks like now (super-duper-mind-blowing-euphoria-inducing-terrific), I will go nuts about it. All my friends can count on a gift copy from me.
Haha, was going to ask the same thingSenteria said:Can I be your friend? />
