The most logical thought lead us to Ciri: her importance is parallel to Geralt's one in the whole story.

A lot of people are complaining about the graphics and I agree that it makes no sense to make a trailer at the lowest possible settings after all of those full HD engine showcase trailers. It is not just a gameplay video, it is a legitimate trailer officially released by CD Projekt Red and there is no reason for this to be in low definition while there are many reasons why it should be in high definition.

However, it's just one short trailer, and even tho the graphics showcased in it are horrible, you have to admit that the voice acting and the reveals that it gives us are well worth the watch

Not to mention she is amazing!!!! I wonder if people enjoy playing as Ciri it will mean the next Witcher game will have Ciri as the protagonist? Although perhaps that would be too good to be true

For those pointing out the stretched textures under the arm, if you're just now noticing it, then you haven't been paying attention to it in previous trailers cause it was there as well. Ingame models do not have separate clothes like CG models do (and when they do it's usually stuff hanging loose), so they are more constrained to the model geometry and the texture applied to them.

Movement like that is going to make this noticeable no matter what because there isn't a good way to make the textures look right in relaxed stance versus extremes since it isn't real (or even digital) fabric that can stretch, twist, tug in a real life manner. This isn't specific to TW3, it happens in plenty of other games. The detail on their outfits just makes it more noticeable.

Also, grabbing screengrabs certainly can point out stuff, but when the game is in movement, you're not going to see that stuff as much.

I thought I would set some time aside to try and upload a version of the trailer with fewer artifacts.
I re-rendered it in Sony Vegas (.mp4 format) so hopefully YouTube will be a happier with that.
Also, here's a comparison of the current official YouTube version and my .mp4 render (uncompressed):

Please bear in mind that I made this album before the video had finished uploading to YouTube, which means
that I took screens directly from the source file, instead of screencaps from YouTube. The result being that the quality
might vary, depending on how successful that whole uploading / processing thing is.
The color-range / contrast has also changed a slight bit, so please bear that in mind too!

.... pseudo-edit: I just watched the YouTube video and it didn't help... It's really really strange how the artifacts occur so similarly, like for example at the start where we see the bowl-cut guy looking out the window and the video seemingly goes from low to high resolution. Can someone explain why this could be?

Oh well... I hope that it will at least be useful in one way or another

Like earlier Witcher games you will not be able to change characters as if it was GTA V, it will instead be specific sections / quests that switches your point of view to another character. Possibly Lambert, Ciri, Yennefer, or another character from the trailer (note that the man standing in front of the wild hunt on the burning boat is neither Geralt nor Ciri).

As I was rewatching the part where Geralt and Lambert are fighting together for I dunno how many times, I noticed now just how lame the attacks of the wraiths are Sure, I suppose it will be a lot better show in the end game, but right now they just seem as the lamest wariors ever

Something's wrong with translations, not sure where exactly. In English Yen speaks "only you and I truly know what all of us will soon face", but in Russian she said "Ciri could be even more dangerous than Wild Hunt".
I'm wondering how this line will appear in Polish version.
