Something's wrong with translations, not sure where exactly. In English Yen speaks "only you and I truly know what all of us will soon face", but in Russian she said "Ciri could be even more dangerous than Wild Hunt".
I'm wondering how this line will appear in Polish version.

yeah in German Yennefer says something like: 'You have seen what has happened. She could become more of a threat than the wild hunt'. (though my german isn't top notch)

Yeah that is interesting about Ciri, the notion of her possibly being corrupted. The English version alludes while the German and Russian are more direct. 'Only you and I know what we'll face' Hoooo boy what if we have to kill Ciri to thwart the Hunt? Or for that matter, what if the final boss is variable based on our decisions? We kill either Ciri or Eredin. Rampant speculation is fun.

edit- The more I think on this it seems possible everyone will be trying to get their hands on Ciri- Eredin, Emhyr, mages and other rulers. We might be tasked with seeing who she ends up with or preventing anyone from using her.

Man, THAT'S one of the biggest plot-twists I've ever seen :D I hope that it's not true though - I don't want to kill Ciri :(

@OptoNick I wonder of the same thing.
She might mean Ciri will have a child, who will become a destroyer of the world. That's why she is a dangerous lass. :)

*gasp* Now that's interesting. It could just be that they are talking about her potential power and not her turning evil or something like that.

This.
I think Ciri is just like her mother...A source, uncontrolable magic power.

I'm still open to Ciri being a compelling character in the game, and the scenario has all sorts of problematic dilemmas for the player. God help Zorn if his playthrough demands he kill Ciri:

Well, mainly because she is an excellent character in the book. I really like her and IMHO her absence in the first two Witcher games was a bit disappointing.
Additionally, killing Ciri would be not my style, or not the style of my ideal Geralt, who always tries to first cure the person in question (e.g. Striga in the books) and not kill them instantly. When there is a 1% option of saving someone, my ideal Geralt will at least try to do it.

There fucking is no fucking way in the fucking hell that Geralt would ever hurt Ciri in any way.
She is the closest thing to him in his cold and dark world, and he loves her more than anyone else close to him.

^ This.

We know little if anything about Ciri's motivation at this point.

Dangerous? Everybody already knows she's Trouble with a capital T in high heels and a combat bra (well, maybe we didn't know about that before). Ciri on the run would lay down some pretty heavy destruction to stop whatever's chasing her.

Done a Heel Turn? I don't see any foundation for that yet. There's more than one well-motivated Heel after her, for various reasons we can probably understand. But no motivation of her own.

And would Geralt harm her or allow others to harm her? The only way is if he were trapped by such overwhelming force that there was no point in fighting.

And I hope a Rigoletto plot twist is less than what is in the making.

If one of the three epilogues involves--

--Geralt killing Ciri, due to believable, reasonable and tragic circumstances and consequences of different decisions throughout the game, then I'll just stand up and applaud CDPR for having the biggest balls in the industry while wiping away the tears.

But even now, speculating that this might happen, I still don't believe that it will. It's too extreme.

Geralt would give his own life everytime for either Ciri or Yen. He would never harm one of them and I honstely can't think of any situation that involves reasonable and believable writing that could lead to change that. It's imo not too extreme, it's totally out of question. At least not, if CDPR don't want to rewrite the whole franchise (and that wouldn't be much about "having balls" but more about "shocking people/fans for the point of shocking" imo)...

I know, there's nothing that makes sense about it.

But hell, I'm not scratching out any options. They might go wild yet with some endings.

Also I can be out-of-control with my speculations. Mwehehe.

He could agree to harm Yennefer.
He already has, albeit under peculiar and particular circumstances, and with cooperation and agreement. Nothing came of that agreement/decision, but it was made.
