Besides Geralt of course whose presence/cameo is already confirmed.

Cast your votes for up to 3 character groups in the poll or tell me in the comments!

I would like to meet Triss being the royal advisor in Kovir the most! I'd also love the return of Iorveth! ♥

Hey,
Storywise it could be nice to do it the same way as in Witcher 3 - that is Ciri helps and gets help from both known and new characters - sorceresses could help her to improve with magic, plotters with politics & negotiating, etc...witchers and other fighters with fighting, etc,...

I like how diverse and far-reaching were Geralt's contacts and how they helped him in different situations - dwarves, sorceresses, kings and queens, soldiers, a druid, a vampire, the Lady of space and time, an elven "sage", a bard, other witchers,...that's some list! :)

So, I can imagine e.g. Yeneffer, Triss, Phillipa, Geralt, Lambert, Eskel, Hjalmar, Cerys, Ermion, Avalach, Gaels, Emhyr, Voorhis, Dandelion, Zoltan,...

I picked the Sidekicks, the Witchers, and the Supernatural.

However, I really could do without Dandelion, and of the Supernatural I would only like to see Gaunter O'Dimm (in my opinion, the best-written villain in any game I've played).

Not so sure, I really want totally new stuff in TW4, but if I have to, I'd say :
(in this order)
- The Witchers, I love these guys.
- The Sidekicks, for the same reason.
- The Love Interests, well... also for the same reason!

The most interesting three (other than Geralt) would be Yennefer, Avallac'h, and Emhyr (though Emhyr would be dead if they choose to canonize Radovid wins the war ending).

Lambert, Eskel, Triss, and Dandelion would be in the next tier.

I know it's probably an extremely long shot, since I rather fancy the REDs have abandoned their story lines, but I still say Iorveth and Saskia. Sigh.
You and me both. If CDPR didn't want us to still be asking about Iorveth and Saskia over a decade later, they shouldn't have made them so compelling. Also I'll never forget how disappointed I was playing through TW3 expecting to find Iorveth and it never happened :giveup::giveup::giveup::giveup::giveup: i am traumatised

Love interests, side kicks, supernatural.

Love interests because Yennefer has to be in the game. Yennefer isn't a love interest in this game (well, except for me), but since the poll put her in that group relative to Geralt, it was one of my three choices.

Side kicks because of Jaskier. He's needy, whiny, always getting the main character into some sort of trouble trying to get himself out of trouble, and overall intolerably annoying. But somebody has to tell the story of Ciri the Witcher, and I don't know who that would be if not him.

Supernatural, because I really hope that Ciri's bloodline is integrated into the story in some interesting way. I'm open to what that might be, but I'd be disappointed if it's just ignored.

They may be too old depending on how much time has passed, but I would really love to see some Thronebreaker characters make it into TW4. An audience with Queen Meve? Meeting a healer / herbalist that turns out to be Isbel? Visiting a tinkerer's shop in Novigrad only to find Barnabas Beckenbauer offering Ciri a "marital aid" contraption of some sort? Maybe Arnjolf the Patricide is still out there looking for redemption and a good death.

i hope everyone, they can get new stories in witcher 4 that someone can live as a ghost, then the ghost can tell us the stories about themselves, the old is end. new stories need been hopfully.

All of the people Ciri is familiar with, like mentioned above, but also Weavess. There's some bad blood there that needs to be let out.
That was never solved in TW3, unless you played the ending with the worst outcomes. Would like to finally kill the bitch in TW4.

Yeah. Weavess battle would be a nice touch (except for the worst ending import ofc).

Actually it would be the PERFECT opening sequence for The Witcher ending.

After Ciri becomes a witcher the first monster she is going to track down and kill would be the Weavess!

Maybe it's impossible depending of where the game take place, but I would like to know what happen to the Bloody Baron and his wife. It should be nice to come across them during our adventures :)

Iorweth or riot! The devs denied the comback that was his by right in Witcher 3, he must make an appearance in Witcher 4, preferable an important one too. You can't just introduce one of the most interesting characters in the series and then shelf him off indefinitely.
I could be wrong, but I think they planned to bring back Iorveth in the game like they did for Vernon, but scrapped it for reason (maybe the quest was bad or doesn't make sense... who know). Maybe the little contract involving few scoia'tael near the bridge to Novigrad is everything which remains of the originally planned "Iorveth quests".

They did exactly that, he was supposed to help Triss with mages' escape and find cure for the plague - plague storyline got scrapped and so did he, unfortunately.
