Witcher 4/Remake: Balanced fanservice/sexualization pls!

I could care less what any characters sexual orientation is as it’s irrelevant.

Sexual identity is pretty relevant when it comes to character-heavy games?? I'm sure most people would agree if CDPR suddenly made Geralt exclusively attracted to men it would be pretty shocking (I mean, sure, the amnesia storyline could have given Geralt the chance to try men but understandably CDPR didn't run with that )

So in the same way it would be very jarring if Ciri's sexuality changed. She's bisexual (not homosexual) and so the game should include that as part of her character. It's not about having an agenda it's about respecting your characters and the things that are a part of them.

Romancing and sexual cut scenes have no impact on gameplay or story progression what so ever.

As someone has already stated they’re completely optional.

This thread is irrelevant. Stop asking them to change characters and details for your own preference.

CDPR know what they’re doing and they’re going to deliver a phenomenal game without outside input.

It’s their IP. Let them cook.

Yes - it's their IP. But if we take the approach you are using, the forum with all the topics makes no sense at all...

Yes - romances are optional. But people can talk about all their preferences for the game. That's the point of the forum and sharing ideas.

It's NOT simply a game about going and hunting monsters... Such approach would make the game flat on such a boring level that it could never stand out. These games are also (and likely even more than about simply hunting monsters) about emotions and relationships. And romancing and sexuality are a BIG thing in creating these.

In my opinion such games can have tons of nudity, tons of sex and tons of options to choose from in these aspects AS LONG as these are optional AND integrated into the universum. Geralt went to brothels so it would be stupid not to allow him to use the services of prostitutes there - it was part of the experience, not just a 'random thing' thrown at players out of context. Did you have to view sex and nudity? Absolutely not. Was it good to have it there as possibility? Absolutely yes.

We are playing a game set in a fantasy medieval like setting where rapes, sexism, abuse and prostitution are as common as alcohol abuse, domestic violence, thefts and murders. In my opinion what would make the experience unrealistic is pretending that the whole world around Ciri is sexual but she is not. She is the only person in the whole dark world that nobody is interested in and who is not interested in anyone herself...

Witcher 3 isn’t soft porn. If you want sexualized characters use your own mods.

The few scenes, far and in between, in the game relating to nudity and sex happen briefly.

Ciri is homosexual anyway. If anything her relationships will be with female partners.

The focus of these games is the stories and interesting characters. It’s not about aesthetics or making Ciri or npc characters look pretty.

Enough with the aesthetic critiques and requests.
It’s a game about hunting and killing monsters for petty sakes.

It’s CDPR’s IP. They know what they’re doing. Let them cook.

Keep your fetishes and kinks to yourself.
Do you and I play the same franchise? :ROFLMAO:

Witcher franchise I played was full of pretty girls, they looked like super models, lots of sex options, and breasts on the screen.
By the way, in the first game you even collected sexcards with lots of hot women.
Female fanservice/sexualization exists in all Witcher games.

There's no harm in asking them to balance this out in next games. Equally attractive and sexualized boys and girls. all players happy! \o/

I'll mention again that female characters such as the sorceresses use magic to look attractive. Unless there's a reference in lore of men doing the same thing, it wouldn't make sense for a group of guys in a medieval setting world to suddenly look like supermodels.

As a reminder: real-world politics, world-view topics, and rudeness are not allowed here. This includes "woke" and other such things.

Some content removed.

Sounds like more of a thing of the past, current philosophy is

We are making efforts to place in our games characters of different personalities, social classes, ethnic groups and sexual preferences. We show the inequality that exists in the world, the diverse paths that people take, as well as various problems they must overcome.

Wrong. The only girl she's ever been with is Mistle, and that wasn't exactly a romantic relationship built on consent. All her other sexual partners have been men.

I think Ciri likes both. I could be wrong tho.

I hope Ciri has some twisted side, like Shibari Ropes etc. I even read she is kinda in limbo. Her mind isnt in right place as far I know. Thats why "time and space" because she is stuck in limbo, in limbo time doesnt progress, and space remains still.

I definitely agree with this. Perhaps an undertone of what her "timelessness" would mean on a psychological level.

She does seem genuinely attracted to Mistle. Though, she does have romantic feelings for Hotsporn, and it's heavily implied that she ends up being "more than friends" with Galahad at the end.

I'd argue she's clearly bisexual, but the situations in her life leave her with more men than women. I don't think it was meant to mean she's mostly heterosexual. That would be the way bisexuality would work: it wouldn't matter. The heart wants what it wants.

I also like the...well, I guess I'll call it symbolism...of her having a universal love open to anyone. That reflects nicely against her power to shift through literal time, space, and parallel existences.

It is kind of awkward to think aobut what CDPR will do with that traditional aspect in their games now that they have a female lead. Frankly, I don't want to sit through something that came out of the back section of a book store if you know what I mean... Ciri by the time of W3 is already the type to take the lead in these things, but I just don't really want to romance up a dude ya know? On top of that the games have now departed further than ever from the material in the books they are basically winging the dynamics between characters now. And no i don't want Ciri to Lezz out and get back with Mistle somehow... Basically I want Ciri to be straight but I don't want to play a straight Ciri... ya

Well I'm definitely lezzing out with whores in TW4 :coolstory:. Witcher 3 pretty much let us choose Ciri's preferences, we'll likely be able to do the same in 4. Or not pursue sexual/romantic encounters at all, as previous Witcher titles have allowed.

There should be male and female choice for a romance route, not many options because at that point it would be approaching a romance story which is unnecessary and I don't want that whole dumb team thing repeated again. They wouldn't want to not give Ciri and lady lover option because of her dating Mistle in the past and being seen as bi by large parts of the community (that relationship was horrible I am aware, though I don't think it deterred Ciri from seeing Women as potential partners in general) and I myself would like that option there as I to like women.

They'll probably be OCs made by CDPR or could bring back someone from the books, specifically Hjalmar or Galahad.
Both are in a weird position, however, since Hjalamr would make them need to establish a canon choice for Skellige's ruler, and maybe they'll want to stay vague on that, or as vague as they can be. Personally, I like Galahad (book familiarity, and he's close to Ciri's age than any other person who's shown interest in her and I think they could be cute), he'd also tie into her world-travelling days and that is something I would like to hear more about from Ciri. But he's from Camelot and could come across as a confusing decision. In the end, I probably won't bother with any romance choice anyway but I am curious who CDPR will be considering for Ciri's male or female lover.

So long as there are titties just like in every Witcher game, I don't care if girl gamers get cock. Fanservice for everyone!
