Hello All!I just graduated from a Games Development and Artificial Intelligence course, and was looking arround for a project to fill up the port folio a bit, i encountered this competition, however its already in the 4th stage but i notice that the 4th stage is quite long (4 Sept?), so i was wondering if you think that it is still worth me entering the competition, or if you think its too late. Iv never used the enghine before but i love the game and could probly get reasonably familier with the engine in a short time.Just any thaughts wil help. Thanks!!!

I think you definitely have enough time and if you start now should be able to get it done.Note that there are 5 stages, so you do not need to finish in time for stage 4, but can get it done by stage 5 ;)

We are very sad to announce no submissions for stage 4 of the D'jinni Contest. The International Part of the contest is suspended however you still have a chance to submit ready adventure for stage 5. Stage 5 will begin as soon as there will be results of the stage 4.Last stage will end in about 6 or 8 weeks.

*sigh* There were no submissions sent in for stage 4? I can't believe this. Where are all the modders, that sent in for the other stages? Are there any submissions for the polish part of the contest in this stage? ???

And how is this meant? Which results do you mean, when there are no submissions?

Well, if it's any comfort, we have not given up. we simply decided to exercise the option outlined in the original contest rules which states that you can skip phases as long as you submit everything at the end of the contest. I am doubtful that we can actually finish in 6-8 weeks, but i remain hopeful for now :peace:

As long as you don't bury your work and favour us with your own adventure(s)... when you are finished with it ;)

I'm very, very impressed by your script, and I know you've got good people working on bringing it to life. Even if you don't make the contest deadline, I'm sure you'll be showered by praise and orens when your module debuts. If you need some more tangible celebration of your success, maybe we'll be able to take up a collection to buy you all tee shirts or something. :D (When they're out, of course.)On the one hand, I think it's a pity that there are no entries for Stage 4. On the other hand, I'm not surprised -- there's an awful lot to do within that deadline, and from what I hear, Djinni isn't exactly user-friendly.And Hexenmeister Raven looks more and more like a genius, for having decided early on not to try to meet the deadline for Stage 4.
