The following are just guesses.... and may not even be close to what's causing it.Try it with autosave disabled....I don't remember that part of the game, actually. So, I don't remember what plays after the battle. I guess if I had that problem I'd download bink & smacker http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm (first download link) , and start checking the bik movies to see if one wasn't corrupt or something. Although... it could spoil the game's cutscenes and story by doing so....If I find a movie that won't play, then it's most likely corrupt and the reason for the crash. In which case you can either ask around for someone to email you a good movie, or you could probably substitute a working bik movie for the corrupt one (copy a working bik movie and rename it the same as the broken movie), and at least get by that trouble spot... Although, the movies in witcher could be in one huge movie file, and the game just plays a part of that bigger movie for it's cutscenes. In which case, I wouldn't have a clue how to go about a workaround for that.Guess you can also try the binkw32.dll that I left in that sticky.... http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=24645.msg5318242#msg5318242 Just don't overwrite the one you have, rename it by adding ".old" to the end of it, then try this one.... and if there is no change then it's probably better if you restore the orginal binkw32.dll file you had. File is located in one of the subdirectories in the Witcher directory. Don't remember what it was from the top of my head.... Possibly, the Data directory... Although, I doubt it'll fix your problem.
