Hehe, i also think Eskel is the better choice, i really enjoyed his over the top aggressive fighting style during the Morhen siege, would like to explore where that would have come from, how he got his scar, what makes Eskel who he is during W1 - W3If the protagonist of the next game were to be a character from the books, Eskel would be a good choice, too. He's as old and experienced as Geralt, just not as famous/notorious. Perhaps too similar to Geralt in many ways, but on the other hand, a different personality can make the experience fundamentally different.

Thats because the poll does not give proper options. The series does not need to be tied with only Geralt, it can be another leader character. So when it says- " i am fine with the series ending with Geralt, it makes no sense," it makes no sense whatsoever because there are plenty of room for Ciri's tale, one where Geralt is not required.
My personal preferance is to play a completely new character linked with Ciri, instead of playing Ciri herself.
Without getting into talking about spoilers of the ending of the game, I'm convinced that whenever years down the line we get another Witcher game, the doors seem to be open in favour of Ciri, which makes make happy. Plus we need more strong at the same time realistic woman as protagonists, and CDP just did that with The Witcher 3.
I would love remakes of the first and second games.
Also, I'm such a fan I just can't believe that this is the last game in the series. I would still play it if they followed on with the series with Ciri as a playable character; she is great, and having read the books I just love her.
Shame that's the last of Geralt, the butcher of Blaviken. He is probably the best character I've ever known.

Well i would like to see a new character or one that we can make, like in Skyrim. However i really enjoyd being a monters slayer and witchers can only be dudes so, also i like the world in the witcher and the politics/conflicts. And witcher are neautral when it comes to wars, mabey the player can be a rouge witcher, gives us more options to explore.

Pretty much. Lets focus on Cyberpunk for now and years down the road after we're done with that, maybe we can return to another tale from the life of the white wolf. There are more then enough adventures from Geralt and his friends left to tell, but right now it would be difficult to tell them and get past the whole "been there, done that" feeling.

Ciri is a great character. And a game with her would be awesome.
But...they should nerf a bit the blink, and put into some dodge animations and counter attacks.

I don't think that people understand that Ciri was designed to be OP- she was just an OP story section and it does not mean that TW4 would have an unbalanced combat system. if they made a game about her, she would not have OP HP regen, and if she had a blink, combat would be designed to reflect that with a challenge.

Let me refrase...I would like some change not only for balancement, but for a more enjoyable combat. For example, Ciri performs a short blink when you press the dodge button, and a long blink when you press the roll button. I...would like to see a real dodge with her, and a counter attack. I hope mods could implement that in TW3, but I would like to see that from the start in case of a Witcher game with Ciri.

Let say we could choose from 4 schools - wolf, griff, cat and bear - and then some interesting story, bigger world then in w3 (more regions - maybe north, nilfgard and zarrikania). Sorry, but what made TW great was geralt and company. If TW4 is anything like skyrim I will never touch it, and I will write angry letters. DA:I was trash, and what you are requesting is DA:I.
Geralt starts every game as a lvl 1 Witcher noob instead of being the decked out OP Witcher he ends the last game as and that the story portrays him as from beginning to end so why would anyone think Ciri would start the game OP?

The CEO of CDPR has already confirmed that the Witcher provides an ending for Geralt, that doesn’t necessarily mean the series will end here . So there's a good chance that we'll get a new Witcher game in the future (probably 4-5 years). I'm sure the writers will have lots of time to come up with a new interesting story once they're finished with Cyberpunk.
