Witcher game files gone after install of Djnni..

So I thought I would see what this Djinni and installed it....Now it seems that the Whole Witcher file in my programs list has gone and all thats left is a :View Readme and View Manual. Now do I have to re-install the game? Lose my Act 3 saves? What happend?Where has my game gone?A confused Witcher gamer has a tear in his eye..

Where was the original folder where Witcher was installed, and did you install Djinni into the same folder? As for saves, they are separate in your My Documents so this can easily be fixed by reinstalling The Witcher, but never heard of Djinni erasing anything as they are all new files. And does The Witcher still load?

no it just asks for the disk, but the disk is inside my drive and when I look in program lists, it just shows readme files but no game to play :wall:

What system are you running this on? Vista? Did you run the 1.3 patch then the Djinni install?Did you reboot and see if that had changed anything? If you supply some more info we would be able to help you find out what is wrong.CheersVinnieMc

Feature Transfer Error :Feature : AUTComponent: D:\data6.cabError: Data Error Cyclic redundancy checkThis is basically a, dvd/cd drive read error. It cannot read the data on data6.cab.I would suggest doing this if you have not already done so..1.. Go to control panel and uninstall Djinni2.. Uninstall game.3.. Look for;; "Program Files\The Witcher" and ensure that the folder has been deleted.4.. Reboot your system5.. Install the Game.6.. Install Patch 1.37.. Install DjinniFollowing those instructions should work. If you still get errors reading data6.cab, return the game, as it is a defective disk or has been scratched/damaged to the point it cannot be read.Hope that helps bud...Cheers VinnieMc
