Witcher lore book etc

Cd project red can you please release a book containg lore about the witchers and their lost secrets and who founded them and creature library etc consider it like a wealthrough but in the style of a ancient witcher book. It could contain the process of how to become a witcher and what traning they go through aswel as the experiments needed to become a witcher. It could also include Geralts experiment proces etc you guys could also add recipes for potions and include actual ingredients from the game

There are actually plans of releasing a lore book about the Witcher universe. See this thread. It is coming out around the time The Witcher 3 launches.

Not sure how in depth it will go when it comes to witchers (since we have little to no detail about the book itself), but I'm guessing it'll contain quite a bit of it.

I guess you should address something like this to Andrzej Sapkowski. Because he is the one who created the lore and he is the one who actually knows what the apprentices pass to become witchers. Unless he shared this with CDPR.

There is only one person who should decide on that: Andrzej Sapkowski himself.

If he decides to make one I will gladly buy it.

But I'm against a Witcher lore book made by someone else, CDPR included, so I've chosen the "no" option. Especially when it contains "made up/fan fiction" stuff. That would only lead to more and more people forgetting or disprespecting the original Witcher made by Sapkowski...

I voted for wouldn't spend the money. Nice if it's something extra, but I read all the books and I played the games multiple times. I think I know quite a bit about the lore by now. Not in detail of course, but enough to go by.

Also I dont't have much money to begin with.

I put in "Yes" for my answer, but it depends on how it was done. If was one of those cheap "lore books" that basically tells you general information about the story in the game then I would be disappointed. But if it was a lore book that told you about the Witcher world in greater detail, filled in details left out of the game's story, and contained lore from all 3 games + more then I would definitely buy.

I agree with this, as great as the games are, they're not 100% canon to the book series. This lore book is also by the comic book guys, not a big fan of those to be honest.

I'd much rather CDPR get publishing rights to the books series and publish the remaining 4 novels in english (using a better translator).

For all we know he could do another Witcher book and turn all of the lore from the games on its head. A prequel book about the conjunction of spheres would be awesome
