It'll be released somewhere in the near future (end december or january). For the rest, nothing is certain. Though I think it's fairly safe to assume that the toolset will show many similarities with bioware's Aurora toolset for NWN, considering that engine was used as a basis, with bioware's assistance.

Why? Surely only people who cared enough to bother paying for The Witcher would create content for it? ;)

Because a lot of us that care, can't register. Though I doubt I'll make much content for TW, I been to busy since NWN content I made and it jsut getting mroe complex and I'm not artistically gifted, far from it in fact. (I can draw a really nice stick figure... Ok maybe not...)

Yeah, All it'll take is one registered person to upload it somewhere :) I just wonder what extras and goodies will also be available there(registered section)...

What ?? If you are interested in creating contents then you have an internet connexion, no ? (or how can you download the patch/toolkit/view the forum/etc..)So all you have to do, is using the register tool provided with the game (register.exe inside The Witcher folder). It's take only few seconds and it's a good protection against hacking games. ;)Only the true registered game will have access to what CD Projekt is preparing for the buyers. Extras, extension & toolkit.

Some people seem to have trouble with the keys they received with the game, so it's not really their fault they can't register. Though I can also understand CDPR's point of view that they want to encourage buying the official game to get the extra's.And Phalzyr, a certain order of stick figures have made quite a name for themselves ;D

I had issues registering (the frontend didn't accept my key - the "submit" button didn't enable because the key I was given wasn't the correct length) and I had to email Atari for another one. It was a pain and I can understand not everyone would want to do that. It is a shame though to restrict the SDK because the more mods the better for all of us.

I will stop asking of that after this (it's not really the topic subject) but CD Projekt and Atari aren't making money on hacked games, so giving them extras isn't really something cool for them.. and if you want extras they have to sold games. (extras include the release of update for the toolkit/SDK)Maybe it's a "shame" to have wrong key, but it's not a terrible effort to solve this problem. Email Atari isn't a big effort.
