hello there, two days ago i bought this game through origin. but as soon as i go to launch it this error message pops up saying. 'the application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142).... i found a topic on this webpage that says that there is something wrong with the Net Framework. there where two options, to uninstall and reinstall it or to download this hotfix. i chose the reistall option.
step 1: Fully uninstall .NET Framework 4 Extended and .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.
step 2: Restart the computer.
step 3: Download and install .NET Framework 4.
step 4: Restart the computer, set the settings in Launcher Options and try to run the game. i am having issues with step 4, what setting should i set in launcher options?

do you think i should download the hotfix and be done with it?

The hotfix is one option but there are others .
Do you have any offending software that is keeping the game from starting

Do you have Adobe Extended Pro (not reader) , or HyraLogix or LucidLogix that came with a variety of motherboards .

i dont have any toolbars in my browsers. i never use them. but i have kaspersky and i dont want to change it. should i disable it when i try the game? thanks in advance

Good deal . As for Kaspersky i`m pretty sure the only version that affected the game was the 2011 . If you`re still using that version then an upgrade to the 2012 which would be free should solve the issue .
