Woe to the vanquished - glitch on Xbox 360?

Ok so I did the Woe to the vanquished quest and saved the civilians and the journal says "The Witcher then freed the civilians trapped inside the house.... Geralt inspires me to write up-lifting ballads". But now as soon as I progress the To the Temple quest the journal says I've failed the Woe quest: "since Foltest was a hardy a patient man... He had no time to intervene on behalf of the townsfolk and never learned their fate". So I fail the quest even though I saved everyone? Is this supposed to happen? No biggie i guess biut I don't like the red cross on my journal lol.

Common mistake :)

Becoz after defeating the commander, you need to "save" the civilians inside the house talking with them. You can recognize the house by the furniture piled up in front of the door.

Thanks for the reply. I did talk to them tbh, went something along the lines of "get yourselves away from this madness"
"ok but where do we hide?" and that was the end of the conversation :(

Ok, just realised I was being a tool lol. I didn't go into the house which the woman ran out of when she was shot. I just stopped the soldiers burning the other house and went into that one instead.
