World is not interactive enough, thoughts?

I think it's fine. The game is already deep and immersive enough. Small activities devs put in other fps games were never fun to me to begin with. I'm actually glad cd projekt red also didn't feel the need to add such filler. Plus I'm perfectly happy with just walking/driving around sight-seeing, as the world is beautiful on it's own it's just fun looking at it.

It's never "You" in RPGs. That would be metagame, and quite silly actually. But I do agree that V should me more influenced by the player's decisions and lifepaths. As it stands, it's just Geralt with 1/10 of his charisma.

Yeah, maybe they should cancel that and begin to support the game with restoring cut content before trying to sell DLCs.

Who's going to buy a multiplayer game in a Night City so devoid of interactivity? They can't compete against GTA and Red Dead Online.

Maybe they will do what GTA Online does, sell shark cards / shard cards for Multiplayer

How it can be improved? (probably wont, but hey a man can dream) Your thoughts?

It can not be improved. This whole game is a mess. No updates in this world will be able to fix the dead and empty world that is Cyberpunk 2077. They won't even be able to make it right in another 10 years.
That's why I refunded the game. I'm happy to have my money back.

CDPR has proven to be a great company in the past. I see no reason why they cannot add more to the game through patches and DLC. The foundation is there. Hoping for good things from them.

What knowledge of game design or the engine exactly are you basing that opinion on?
I agree that not everything we wish for will be added, however what is already there is the shadow of a very good game. The game is just so evidently underdeveloped that they will have to overhaul it piece by piece. Thats a lot of work but they are not a studio that releases a lot of games. So, since they want to sell DLC later and this is their only major source of profits they absolutely have a lot of reasons to keep working on it and will do so. Nothing about the game is so broken that it cant be repaired, just everything is a bit broken which results in a sum that makes the whole experience messy.

Yes please! The game is amazing already, but the day-to-day hired gun game would benefit intensely from more interactive RP elements. You can sleep and shower in your apartment sure, but that's about it. Even bars which you can "have drinks in", you buy it, have to go to inventory and not even an animation.. should be able to sit down and drink like in cutsceney quest moments. Also haircuts.. really.. even clothing is lacking. The open world falls short without these elements, could just be a more contained deus ex type game now. But man, Night City is just amazing, and really deserves these interaction elements.

Last point of gripe - romance partners. For instance, with Judy, you get access to her apartment, but cant sleep there and even worse, cant spend any meaningful time with her (or any partners). Dont want to compare to other games, but with what is in Cyberpunk, some elements from GTA in this regard are needed imho.

I just realized there isn't even lightning or thunder effects, i know it is a small and silly detail but it just shows how neglected is this city.

Relax bro. we have our quote of responsability here also. We pushed them to release as fast as they can, is the first lunch of a huge title that we all been waiting for.
Come on we all want this to happen, to improve and make it better. I am reading so much hate against it that im getting scared of a discontiunation or something.

It is a great game, we all want more, of course we do, but we want more because is an excelent game. Play it, enjoy it and you will see what i mean. Story got me from the first moment, i felt the game, i loved the mechaninc, the different languages, everything is wonderful. But as you, i want more, more story, more gameplay, so lets just wait more DLC, it will happen.

So please lets all be clear on this, we are not arguing if the game is bad or good, the game is just excelent, all we want, is more content, or at least some kind of a real RPG open world perspective, that's all.

Because if we keep talking trash, the solution is plain and simple, we move on to another title and thats it. i mean game is not "that" expensive after all for what it is now.

Excellence is based on perception; the game disappoints because it could have been so much more. Overpromising and under delivering is the hallmark of poor development and we all expected better from CDPR. For a year of mostly underwhelming games, I think we were all hoping for something amazing from this studio and in nearly all other respects they succeeded in making a great open world RPG with amazing graphics and an excellent story.

However, they didn't deliver on the one thing they based the whole premise of the game on: a revolutionary immersive open world environment where you were in control.

THAT failure is what will define this game and to the gaming community that is all that it takes to send it to the bargain bin.

Yes that. Game is great story wise, quests, contracts, customization etc. etc. I enjoy it. But ... there is this huge but ... I dont see that next gen open world they promised to us ... there are lot of more immersive and more interactive worlds in the games already released in the past ...

As you say its a great game ... but it wont be the revolutionary legend we all hoped and I think also devs hoped for.

This game makes me value Rdr2 so much more. The activities, immersion, animationts, events, AI and more that game has compared to Cyberpunk are staggering.
So much lost potential, it's clear the game was rushed and we got this husk of a game.

Is PCWORLD getting paid for reviews now???

"Cars pack the streets in GTA-like fashion, though Cyberpunk 2077 features more intelligent driver AI that actually tries to stay out of your way. "

"It’s also been refreshingly bug-free so far. "

"CD Projekt Red had the weight of the world on its shoulders, but Cyberpunk 2077 delivers. I can’t think of a single significant complaint. "

In many cases there's literally no place for the cars to go since the streets are narrow.

Exactly I also dont get all the hate ... beside this issue and maybe a tecnical state of the game (which I am sure it will be fixed soon) the game is great.

As you said just little more of this small content which would make the world much more alive and fun to be in.

Pretty please CDPR :)
The hate is there, because we were promised and experience we didn't get, plain a simple. My preorder was based off those promises and my trust in cdpr, that we could get a truly mature adult rpg experience. None of that here.

Turns out the only developers I have trust in now is Fromsoft and Larian.

Been around since Coleco Vision and all I have to say is that there is a TON of potential and should not have rushed the release, but then how hard would it have been to find all these bugs and glitches with just their team? They are probably happier than flies on POOP to have us gamers find all of this for them. I REALLY hope they improve environmental quality and interactions. Glass breaking but no sounds, the people actually walking at the crosswalk ( lights) and etc etc etc. Although I am only 40 hours in....

I am hoping to see the following:

The obvious fixes they will do in the game to smooth things out.

3rd PERSON VIEW! :cool::cool::cool::cool:
Ability to travel to the top of buildings like Dying light
Flying cars? For us? You shouldn't have.
DLC Content Added story missions for characters not yet playable,
More add-ons for character creation :smart:
Online multiplayer hacking like Watchdogs.
Online Multiplayer servers with gangs fighting for night city.

Short and sweet, this is a bad-ass fkn game samurais!!! We all may not have an RTX 3090, but imagination is key. Try to have fun and breathe, after all this is NIGHT CITY!

To be fair the Witcher wasn't very interactive either, aside from Gwent. NPCs acted much the same as they do in Cyberpunk.

All the interaction is in missions, sidequests, and random encounters (like bounties). I'm fine with it. The game just needs some polish.

The thing is that Cyberpunk was marketed as the most believable next generation open world game to date, with tons of interactions. That's simply a lie. Open world games from 10 years ago had more interactions and were much more immersive than a self proclaimed "best open world of all time" game.

Yeah Im just reminded the trailer again that tells you to go down and eat something in town, or the one that was talking about the "best burito in town". Im reminded of gameplay trailers that showed silent takedown animations that aren't in the final game (i.e. pistol stealth takedown animation).

CDPR Please bring back the obvious cut content, such as braindance outside of main missions, and more interraction in the city. Eating, drinking, more dancing, more joytoys, and or one night stands. For now the city feels a little empty. I mean the apartment is useless, it is clear it was meant to be like a place you could relax more like watching tv or braindance. PLEASE PLEASE bring it on DLC.
