World is not interactive enough, thoughts?

I know... it's like No Man's Sky, but 1000% worse. :(

I wouldn't say its worse. Its different first and foremost. But it's bad too, can't argue with that.

Finally why do all the shops have the same randomised selection of items, whats the point of having one shop per district if the clothing they sell is not district specific. They need to make shops select items to sell dependant on where the shop is. Going to the super expensive rich-corpo suit shop and having him sell you short-shorts and cowboy hats is incredibly immersion breaking

So much this. Like hell, they introduced all these styles for different districts and socioeconomic levels, and then they just randomize everything across all vendors. What did they say again? "Every district has it's own feeling, it's own culture". Something along those lines. They suggested Neo-Kitch was a rich people thing. Entropism was for people below the poverty line. Why not have vendors in rich/poor districts have exactly those clothes then? Would make sense.

And yea, visually, on the surface, in the design of the city you can see that they are all unique in a way. But everything that goes beyond just how things look is pretty much the same if you ask me, with a few exceptions.

I still haven't progressed far because I've restarted games several times. The irritating part is the more I play the more I reach the conclusion your post applies all over the game. It's like a bad joke where I can't grasp the punch line.

It's like having a movie marketed as a top tier blockbuster, paying for a top tier blockbuster and getting another run of the mill B movie with great special effects and a couple good actors. The premise of the movie was cool. It's nice to look at. Unfortunately the script is garbage, the camera is always shaky, most of the actors detract from the experience and the director has their head up his/her ass. Worse yet, it didn't even deliver as the right genre. "I wanted a sci-fi movie.". "Okay, enjoy your romantic comedy.".

Firstly I must say that the game is great and I enjoy playing it very much, but more and more I am playing I cant shake that one big dissapointment or issue I have with the game and thats that the world just not seem interactive enough and its really shame cause it has so much potential and unused opportunities in that area. I dont know I just thought it would be more interactive like GTA you know more specifically like GTA SA.

- All those food stands 24/7 or other shops around the game you cant interact with ... why you cant buy a hotdog or cofee or beer whatever then drink or eat it with some nice animation .. those are tiny things but it really adds immersion and life into the game
- Restaurants and bars ... sadly they are completely obsolete and not worth going in there, its just an inventory barter same as with the food machines and since all food gives same boost you just dont have to go there ever ... why you cant just sit around the bar or restaurant drink or eat something with some animations and chill you know maybe watch some strippers and give them some eddies you know
- Too few channels in TV and you cant interact with anything while browsing the web thats a shame ...
- No minigames (at least so far) there is also a lot of unused potential, i saw playing/gaming machines make them usable for in game gaming, pub games like darts or pool, hazard machines (also in game) maybe in game casino ?, there are shooting ranges at gun shops so why not make a minigame here to shoot for high score etc.
- Customizable cars (hope it will be added in some future DLC)
- What are those BDs for if you cant watch them? I still cant figure out why you can buy them them then? and whats the function of pawn shops cause you cant use almost anything he is selling and you can sell him everything you can sell to other vendors
- Too few prostitute/toys types ... I came only across two so far (one male, one female) and playing as male V I dont find the female version very atractive

Those are just few I can think of from the top of my head, feel free to add more if you think of any. I dont know after 8 years of development I just expected the world to be way more interactive and that there will be more things to do when you are not on a mission to just hang out you know.

But otherwise the game is great :)

How it can be improved? (probably wont, but hey a man can dream) Your thoughts?

Yup, the whole city is just there to look pretty. There is no depth to it since there are no side activities and mini-games that you can interact with. A famous quote describing No Man's Sky: "Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle." Pretty much sums it up nicely.

i will wait for those big Patches in January and February. If those don't deliver at least a fraction of stuff people asking in forums, i will be disappointed.

Yes. This. I was baffled that the upscale vendors offer the same mix of completely different styles of clothes and gear. As they actually advertise Kitsch vs Entropism vs Neomilitarism vs Neokitsch then you visit the clothing retailers in-game and all have a mix of items from any and all.

Sorry if this has been mentioned but some of the junk shops have rare components to buy and if you're scrounging for $10 drinks to disassemble you can hit all the bars and restaurants

But yea it'd be great if there was at least more variation in the things like cowering animations. Or if I talk to random person or street if their responses where more varied or contextual. At sone point the news story start reference your missions .. it'd be cool if there was a street buzz as well.

Actually more and more leaked info is surfacing every day about the game cut cobtent and missing features and clearly bad development.

Lastly the dev leak about how the game should have been and their plans to copletely rebuild the game, which i think might be true and i sincerely hope its true.

If the game gets its cut content back it could really be another masterpiece

Yea, regardless of the leak being legit or not, something went terribly wrong here down the line for so many promised (and some even shown / presented) features to be cut, the overall story to be this short, whole areas in the game being empty while looking like they were supposed to be filled with content, etc.

Agreed! The amount of times I find myself instinctively move towards an arcade machine thinking I can transfer a €$ to it and play a minigame only to remember that it didn't work any of the other times and has never been mentioned in patch notes...

I am soo angry with the storyline of this game. The prologues were great after seeing the opening credits after 6 hours. But in Act 1 should of been longer. Act 2 the game went downhill fast soo boring. Thought this game was going to be about defeating corporations, owing big houses and being rich. But no instead the whole Act 2 is about getting johnny out of your head and surviving the END. This campaign can be finished in 15 hours. This should of been 40-45 hours long main campaign for 8 years of development. I would of rather them get rid of all the boring gigs and side quests for main storyline.

At the risk of getting slammed by enthusiastic "fans":

I'd LOVE to see a "No Man's Sky" outcome for this game, but I'm not holding my breath for four reasons:

1) the story: it's too deeply invested into the overall game systems. To accomplish the promise of the earlier rendition of the story would require basically rebuilding the entire game. So the best we could reasonably hope for, is that they use the point you get returned to after the final sequence to launch a more focused PLAYER (V) story set on a fresh path.

2) the world: aesthetically, it's perfect. But it's basically lifeless and devoid of any real interactivity. Again, this could be addressed and rectified in DLC content to great extent.

3) gameplay mechanics: it is what it is. And again, it's too baked into the game. But also again, DLC content could significantly restore much of the RPG element most people feel is missing, by adding some significant things to roleplay for. Like a purchasable mansion in the hills, a penthouse in the city, and a simple cabin in the Badlands. All with various methods of acquiring them in a sensible and meaningful manner.

4) general gameplay: this is the most important to me. The game isn't "open world" in any sense of the meaning. And it's specifically the fault of the main story. Open world games don't tie what you can experience in the game world by locking you out of large swaths of the world until you reach a certain stage in a quest, or even a specific character level. Open world games aren't built to "protect" the player from the dangers of higher level content. In fact, most REWARD the player in some way for defeating it. They also tend to "level" content with the player. But not this game. Because if you leave anything in Watson unfinished (which I'm sure MANY players do given the "urgency" premise baked into the MQ), it becomes useless content by level 15 or so. And this carries through the entirety of the game as you progress the main story. This is why I think so many players claim the game is "too easy" even on the highest difficulty. It's largely because of the "urgency" associated with the main story, that many likely advance the main quest a few stages, and THEN go back to side quests and gigs.

Finally, and with all that aside, I think they should leave the game as it is (with the exception of the obvious things like NPC A.I.) and handle making all other improvements in the first DLC. Because what's already there is significant and deeply baked in. And honestly, a good portion of it is pretty good. Including the main story (even though I feel like it's a stitched in story they turned into a whole game) Which is why I opted out of requesting a refund. At this point I feel like I paid $60 for a game that's "kinda okay", but would only have paid a third of the cost for had I known what I was actually buying. A free DLC that accomplishes much of what I described above would restore it's sense of worth as the AAA title I thought I purchased.

Basically I'm wondering what they were doing all these years. The level of art from the artists is stunning. The level of actual playable rpg is forgettable at best.

Everything said perfectly right here.

Well, "IF" you believe the rumors, everything (or most everything) was scrapped and the entire game (or large portions of it) were completely remade.

And given the current fan views of the game, that narrative sort of fits.

Even that is probably bullshit. When they had those complaints put up on Reddit that Yong Yai reported on, he said that one of them was, "A lot of us signed up to make Cyberpunk 2077 but then we were put on the Witcher 3 and only allowed off after Blood and Wine."

Which means the game has only had a 4 year development cycle.
