Worse FPS patch by patch!

Hey everybody. The 1.05 patch might have fixed some notorious issues in the gameplay. However am I the only one noticing considerable performance reduction FPS wise by every patch?

I won't post this in the tech support section yet. Because I haven't conducted any thorough testing yet. But I do remember having everything turned to the same setting since the day the game was released. I could run it comfortably in the 50-55 region, while having different settings at high/ultra depending on my preference. The game dipped to it's 40's but this was EXCLUSIVELY in the swamps and in Novigrad.

However now I get dips into the 30 region walking in the woods in white orchard. and the game feels much more sluggish than what I remember on launch day. I I always play with fraps, and this FPS decline occured with the 1.04 patch for me as well.

Could it help to revert to older Nvidia drivers, and am I the only one noticing anything of the sort?

SPECS:

AMD FX 8120 OC @ 4GHZ
MSI Geforce 960 2GB
8 GB RAM
installed on a Corsair SSD

Unsure, my fps has stayed relatively constant between 51 to 55 since patch 1.03 with HBAO+ and HairWorks on, most settings at ultra. Performance is smooth no stuttering, with very very very occasional pop ins, great draw distance, textures look fine. GTX 970 played for 5 hours with 1.05 not a problem. Latest Nvidia 353.06 driver. Got to say, so far I'm happy

Well, Considering, I have severe performance reduction, and I am under the impression that every patch brings in more problems than fixes. I have decided to take a long break from the witcher, and hopefully CDPROJECTRED will have fixed their game PROPERLY, instead of fucking it up further. good luck CDPR! with all these gameplay bugs you need it!

Can't say I've had any performance deterioration at all. Hairworks got a bit better with patch 1.04, just not good enough to leave it on, everything else seems to be pretty much the same. GTX970, 1080p, most settings at ultra, pretty much stable 60 fps with the worst dips in the general neighborhood of 55.

It's complicated. Prior to patch 1.03, i was using nVidia geforce experience recommended optimized settings and i have to say the fps was mostly at 60 and graphics looked very nice (combination of high and ultra settings) But then, in patch 1.03 and/or 1.04 I think they improved the overall texture quality and detail level for high and ultra settings, so geforce recommended auto settings were altered to compensate for that in other words geforce auto optimized settings, at least in my case - confirmed, were brought down.

Basically i think for me version 1.02 played and looked a lot nicer. So in a nutshell, in version 1.02 may be the textures were generally slighly low, but geforce auto optimized settings were really high, but now the game's general texture quality has been improved but geforce auto optimized settings have been updated by nvidia (not without a reason) and been lowered do compensate and maintain a decent fps for my gpu-s. Gtx 880m sli. So it is a trade off, which onr is better? Good question, but i think in version 1.02 the game looked and played better. At least for me.

Besides, i don't like this 10 patches per week thing. They took all the time they needed to test and optimize the game. Whats with this patch marathon??

Mine got better by about 10ish, but I'm getting crashes again like in 1.03.

For you guys having FPS problems, please delete your old graphics profile. Don't use geforce experience as it may affect performance also when you have adjusted the graphics setting already.

I keep getting more FPS with each patch :)
Try updating your settings or turning off custom tweaks.

Sorry, but this is loosely based on a true story. I don't see how geforce experience can affect performance especially with shadowplay switched OFF.

I actually gained a lot of fps after this patch, especially in cutscenes. After 1.04 I lost some fps, but now the game runs great.

strange, mine has just been improving with each patch, so much so I have benched the idea of getting a new card for while.

i5 4670, GTX 760 4GB, 8GB.

My FPS has been improving with each patch. Everything on ultra with hairworks on, I could hover anywhere between 40ish to 5ish on vanilla. Now it hovers around 45-60. I'm still annoyed by low quality textures from NPCs though. Its really noticeable. It seems that the game "detects" your camera view a little late in that those you are facing have their high res textures loaded late.

If you bothered to read the post, you would quickly see that I used to have great fps on this game. now go back under your cave you troll.

as for the rest of you, I guess I'll try to reinstall the Nvidia drivers maybe that wil lfix it
