What is this, really? Some kind of deliberate attempt of making SSR look as bad as possible to make people buy new tech? Since RTX cards have some kind of miracle denoiser, now we have to play games with these noises if we want a resemblance of these bad reflections? What gives?

Has zero attempt went into making it look at least "respectable"?

I don't know for sure but I think its artistic license... Maybe its just an aesthetic they were going for... I never really noticed any problems that I can see from your video, running with ultra 1080p HDR no RTX.

Dunno, you can clearly see ghosting when I move my sight, i dont think its intended since it very much looks like its artifacting

There is some kind of approximation system with shadows where there are also lights? I notice it can get quite blocky when casting a shadow into a brightly lit area or against glass. I don't know enough about it all, I guess.

That ghosting might come from postprocessing. Do you use Motion Blur or Film Grain? Also, SSR quality changes a lot if you set it to Ultra or Psycho. That doesn't require RT-capable cards, just modern hardware. The SSR is nicely used in Cyberpunk, but in such scale that it can't be kept at high quality without a huge impact on performance. That's why you are offered 5 levels of SSR. And if you don't like the noise, just disable it.

even at psycho, grain problem continues mostly. if it managed to alleviate the issue, i would've use it despite its cost.
