Worst tech support????? Possibly so

I purchased Collector's edition at the time of release, but still not able to play the game. I sent multiple tech requests but NOBODY responded to me. I tried every trick from the support forum but it just not happening. Anyone had any luck with tech support here or they just simply dont give a fark after you spend 100$ + ?? Please help if anyone knows how to get rid of data2.cab not being able to open errer. Thanks. Armorer

Ok if you purchased it release then it will be at 1.0 . Even if you can get rid of the error by the time you apply all the patches it would be just as easy to get your backup copy from GOG . http://www.gog.com/witcher/backup with all patches included .

I don't want to be vicious but I suppose the problem is on your side, with your computer (console). Tech Support can help only when the issue concerns the game itself but when it works all around the world except few PCs...

Based on the description of the problem, it was almost certainly a problem with the disk - there were other cases. Either the disk itself, or a combination of a borderline disk + DVD-drive issue.

I suspect that it's one of the reasons why the free backup was made available, as it's a straightforward solution.

CRC errors sometimes originate from the optical drive's problems with reading the largest of our installation files -data2.cab. If copying files from the dvds to the HDD didn't help then the best solution for you would be to download the digital backup of the game. To do it go to this page: http://www.gog.com/en/witcher2/backup/ and using your Activation Code from the back cover of your User Manual claim your gog.com backup copy of the game.

Also, we have only received one ticket from the email associated with your forums account and it was sent at 2:10 a.m. Polish time (we operate from Poland). We've just started our work day, give us some time :).
