ME:A was a solid game. People got so hung up on facial animations. Seems to silly in hindsight. Really? Gonna sink the whole game for that?

And they did, no DLC no nothing. Think about that here. Gonna scream about cut content and review bomb until there's no content at all.

But I agree, it was a solid game, but super safe, followed an algorithm, the story was very straight forward, no surprises. Because that's what EA does. They have a lot of games to make, and they're so big they just have to keep making them to stay in buisness.

I said Mass Effect: Andromeda was a fine game. Put it into perspective. Mass Effect 1 came out in 2007 and raised the bar for cinematic story telling in videogames. The Last of Us came out in 2013 and raised the bar again. Andromeda comes out in 2017. It was Naughty Dog that made Bioware look bad in the comparison. This is a cautionary tale of how the industry and audience expectations are constantly evolving and that it is dangerous to sit still.

The biggest problem with Andromeda is how safe Bioware played it. As if they were terrified to do anything that strayed too far from the path already trodden. When you walked onto the citadel in 2007, you were confronted with creatures like the Hanar and Elcor that are more alien than anything you will see in Andromeda.

Absolutely not and I suggest anyone else to not spend a single penny more on Cyberpunk.

When other games release cut content, it's under the prefice that they gave you a finished game prior, one that, in itself, was evidently 'whole', that there where just some 'extras/bonuses' that where missing.

Cyberpunk 2077, as good as it may be at some points, is far from a 'finished game' by any stretch of the imagination. The literal world map is incomplete, with a plethora of holes and missing textures / noclip walls to prevent you from falling through the worldmap. If you decide to buy an expansion for such garbage, you will literally prove that you are willing to get fucked on every future game release in the same fashion. You'll set a signal and standard to the very same People responsible for this mess that they can continue on on their merry way with their BS business practices.

It's a case of literally voting with your wallet for me. CDPR isn't getting another cent until they fix my already made 60EUR commitment.

When cuts are made it is always for a reason. Take Star Wars (Episode 4) for example. A lot of scenes were removed to make the theatrical cut of the film. You could criticize the editors for only giving the audience half a movie...until you see the deleted scenes. The film is much better without them.

While that is undisputably true, it doesn't imply that cuts are always for the better. In SW's case, Lucas' wife – mostly an outsider to the project – took the reign for the final cut, and made it much more accessible and better paced, likely because she was an outsider and not tone-deaf for reasons. Compare to the prequels, where Lucas reigned supreme resting on the laurels of (his?) former successes, and tell me which SW-triplet CP77 is actually more reminiscent of.

Why don't you just say what you mean instead of alluding to it? I don't see how CP2077 is reminiscent of the SW prequel trilogy at all. There is no indication that the prequel trilogy is unfinished and that there is a treasure trove of deleted scenes that if restored would somehow make them better films. As you say, the prequel trilogy had arguably the opposite problem. They had too many scenes and too much dialogue that does not serve the story or concisely or elegantly segue into a dramatic action.

No. Because that's the same reason why I only buy the ultimate edition of single player EA and Ubisoft games when they have a huge discount, and if they are really appealing.

This kind of practice, to cripple the launch edition of a full priced game, to insert the announced features later as paid DLC, was the main reason why the gamers started to get pissed with companies like EA and Ubisoft.

Then they went much further down, EA specially, with single player microtransactions, the Fifa ultimate children exploitive casino "feature", launching the same game year after year, no inovation, and keeping the same deplorable market practices.

Inserting the missing features of the game as paid DLC punishes those that preordered the game.

Gamers praised CDPR because, despite the launch, they made a great work with The Witcher 3, fixed the launch issues, supported the game for years, gave some free DLCs, cosmetics, and the paid DLCs were really an extra story/feature that was fair to what they charged.

Anytime and immediately! I am waiting to finally be able to really enjoy the city!
Should the DLCs be free? Yes. Would I buy it anyway? Yes.

The prequels had a massive CGI budget, but not the charm of the original trilogy. Without people to set him straight every now and then, Lucas' vision incarnate was lacking something. I believe CP77's direction could have used more constructive criticism and was too confident in itself.

If I had to choose...

- Pay for dlc with missing content
- Get free dlc, but without missing features

I will for sure pick 1st option, even if it means slap right into my face. I love that universe and I want to enjoy it in its fullest potential. Ofc... its still very bad move if they try to sell it. (I mean only missing core features like wanted system, proper AI etc.). Anyway Im also sure, if they wont give us missing core features, I wont be buying future expansions or next cdpr games.

I'm not gonna cast a vote in that poll. Not specific enough.

I'm not gonna pay additional for something that should be part of the base game. Like a working crime response system, or npcs that can actually drive cars.

I'm perfectly fine with paying for additional content, even if it was at a certain time considered to be part of the base game.
Like eg. additional player housing/customization.

please take a look at this https://www.cyberpunk.net/us/en/ read the description of the game and then watch the best part PLAYS GREAT ALSO ON XBOX SERIES X | S AND PS5. I almost fall from my chair....also when a game is removed from Ps store (remind me when it was the last time something like this happened) because of the state of the game, to ask from your clients to pay for something its a complete joke. Also dont fool you, they will probably fix the problems for console players, then they will have the same complaints as Pc players has now. Let me see how many preorders Witcher 4 will have...By the way for some reason they believe that the hype for Cyberpunk will remain high for 2 years, because i couldnt believe that they prepare anime series for Netflix on 2022. So either they really gonna invest on the game on the long run or the multiplayer will be released somewhere near there .... a bit naive assumption but ....

I just want to play the game they promised.
If i have to pay more. Fine.

Just get it done cdpr.

I'd buy a expansion yeah, i've no idea what was cut or just plain shelved because they couldn't get it working in time though so i'd buy whatever they released i guess

Unable to answer, poll is all together too vague. Can you please elaborate on specifically which promised features the poll is intended for. Please and thank you.

Cheers Chooms.

I've racked up so many hours and so invested in this game, it's a forgone conclusion I'm going to buy everything that comes out for it.

Whether it was cut content, stuff that was hinted, stuff that was promised, stuff that no-one has thought off, even stuff I don't really care about.

I love this game - and I want more.

I agree and on that note, CDPR has until April to woo me back, cause once Mass Effect Legendary edition comes out, that's what ill be playing for the rest of the year.

This is something quite overlooked yet so terribly important when thinking about Cyberpunk and dealing with its whole controversy.
CDPR made a really bold move when setting for a futuristic 1st person RPG with new assets to make (from animations to general design to gameplay) when they just could have done a Witcher 4 featuring Ciri and a poor story to shoehorn her into. They could have milked that franchise so easily, and given the amount of persons starting the Witcher with the 3rd episode, most would have bought it without feeling tired of it.

Now look at Bioware and Mass Effect Andromeda. You have very valid points in regards to that game, and I agree. I also agree Bioware tried to move away from Shepard and its trilogy, which should be left as it is - a complete story.
Yet, because of the backlash, what are they now planning to do ? Another Shepard focused episode. They completely abandonned the Andromeda setting. The trailer they released for the Game Awards was so full of this "play it safe, give people what they want, don't bother moving the plot further, just bait them with nostalgia". Easy money, no risks, and eventually, an okay game (I guess, too early to tell) but without any groundbreaking advances. I don't want more of Shepard and Liara, I have already the original trilogy for that.

I remember feeling so afraid when they announced they were working on a Last of Us Part II, because to me the 1st part was so perfect it didn't need any more sequel to that relationship. I didn't want another follow up basically giving me the same plot and the same flow as the 1st part just because it's popular. I was so glad when eventually ND took huge risks and took the story to another place, tried to tell a new story instead of a rehashed one, and it shows in how good the game has come out, maybe even better than the 1st. I'm glad they did not go for just another episode of Ellie&Joel road trip. It would have been unnecessary, stale, and eventually very forgettable.

So all in all, I'd rather have CDPR take risks and give us a game which may feel half baked but makes up for it by feeling (when everything in it clicks and works, such as in side characters quests) like something you've never quite played before, rather than have CDPR milking the Witcher franchise to the point of making it a series of nonsense stories (as they did for Star Wars for example).

You should never bash a creative entity to try something new. It may not be good eventually or not to your taste, but that's the point of creativity. Taking risks and making what you have in mind, not making what "popular opinion" want. JRR Tolkien wrote the Lord of the Rings for himself before thinking about anything else. GRR Martin does the same thing, stated it multiple times. Countless artists, be it musicians, writers, filmmakers, do it too. I'm glad CDPR did it, even if CP has rough edges.

Unless all you want for the 20 years to come are a bunch of FIFA 2581, GTA 5 online remake 3rd edition for PS 7, and Assassin's Creed Origins of the Odyssey to Valhalla. Give CDPR credit where it's due : they are creative, they are taking risks, and at least they're not sitting there filling their overmilked franchises with microtransactions (I mean, do you really think all of those other studios like EA would refrain from putting in some Ciri bikini DLC skin for 10$ in a Witcher 4 game ?).

I am a sheep in their herd, i would dutyfully bleat on their call and pay for every content depending on the prize sooner or later.
