Actually it makes perfect sense, I never understood why some developers like R* build a huge complex world and then just used it for a single detailed story experience and then went on to create a whole new one.Plaese add a poll. Single player DLC of course. Ideally more than 2, considering Cyberpunk 2 will never be a thing (two games in same map makes no sense...)
XD 20? shit !!! 40 !!!i want 20 expansions
Tell that to Rockstar and their GTA Online shit.a cooperative multiplayer would only make sense if there were lifepath with ramifications in the story
Tell that to Rockstar and their GTA Online shit.
There you DO have Cooperative Missions that NEEDS other players to Cooperate with you. No life paths or choices or ramifications involved. The world stays the same.
Even though I think Paradox can get carried away with the amount of paid DLC they put out *Cough CK2* *Cough*, I still really appreciate that they stick to their formula and what they know their fans want. They support their games for years after their release, and even after future releases. They are always bringing new interesting content to the table for DLC's and new mechanics to the free updates that come along with those DLC's.Money I spent on Cyberpunk 2077 for the Single Player;
$420 AUD for the Xbox Collectors Edition
$89.95 on GOG for the PC Edition
~$100 on random Cyberpunk Merchandise
Even fought my way through the bot swarm to get a 3080.
Money I would spend on any Multiplayer Cyberpunk?
...a whole bunch of eddies on other peoples single player games.
-----------
I really hope they turn Cyberpunk 2077 into a content machine for single player offline content.
Something like what Stellaris has done (opinions and thoughts about DLC etc aside) has been a constant source of single player engagement since release. Keeps the money flowing into them - keeps their ethos intact - and creates better experiences for everyone.
I know that, it is the worst of the examples but in red dead online there are certain ramifications.Tell that to Rockstar and their GTA Online shit.

Absolutely. It's why I used Stellaris as an example - admittedly 4x games do traditionally have long tails without extra content - but I've spent a fortune on snapping up everything they release and have rocked up well into 4 figures for hours in that game simply because of their content release.Even though I think Paradox can get carried away with the amount of paid DLC they put out *Cough CK2* *Cough*, I still really appreciate that they stick to their formula and what they know their fans want. Ofc not all of them are good due to the sheer volume they pump them expansions out with, but it's still appreciated that they don't just make a new Crusader kings or a new Europa every year or just completely change up the script and idk add total war type battles in the game or something lol.
Don't get me excited pleaseAbsolutely. There is zero reason why that kind of approach wouldn't work for Cyberpunk - Coupled with a half decent mod scene and hot dang. Skies the limit.
