this happens 100% of the time and is replicable (at least on my machine) by letting your xbox one controller go to sleep (turn off) and then turning it back on and pressing the A button to resume. after between 1-2 minutes the controls become erratic and the controller turns OFF. turn back on and the issue persists until you completely exit the game.
