Xbox one- Is it worth trying to play this game yet?

Was going to make a start this evening but it seems looking at this forum the game is generally unplayable at the moment, is anyone having a positive experience on xbone?

Imagine being repeatedly slapped on the back of the head, or having your eyeballs flicked. That's what it feels like currently, but maybe the judder won't bother you so much.

It'll bother me but if that was the only issue i'd probably play through it for now, more concerned with people losing saves/crashes etc

yeah i wouldnt bother mate, its ruined the experience for me, i guess if you dont care about moving the camera about and taking in the details and just run in a straight line without looking left or right then youll be ok.

I've played a few hours now, beautiful, only issue is the archers artifacting? Is anyone else suffering with this?

So far thats all
I've had, pity, as huge black towers seem to shoot into the sky near ANY archer with a bow on his back.......

It's fine, much better than Oblivion or Skyrim when they launched.

Right now just change the right stick camera sensitivity down to .70 in the settings --- This helps the jerky movement issues
Also do no put the game in suspend/resume as it will cause the game to not allow you to save anymore

That is all that is really major issues

Only played it one day and then I came back the second day to play it and it freezes up on the menu screen saying "please wait" for hours. Yeah, so don't buy it until they fix it. It sucks.

For this issue shut down your console and unplug it, plug it back in and restart. Your game will work again, until the next patch do not put the game in suspend/resume and it will be fine. Exit to the main menu and quit the game from their.

Have to say there are some lucky people who don't seem to be having any issues at all. My experience is painful to the point of cursing loudly! Not just the text issue which I have posted about already, but lots of graphic problems, with characters disappearing or bits of them left floating about, or sinking through the ground or hovering at head height! Today the game crashed totally during a cut scene ending (I was just returning a box to a guy who said he was a Carter merchant but who had robbed the cart of the strongbox, in the opening area marshland) I went back to Xbox dash and none of my other things would work! Had to reboot from scratch, only to find all my day's manual saves had vanished. For me, this is a pain in the arse! Over 4 million preorders for this game, I just wonder how many people are having problems but are not on this forum complaining?! Pity as it could have been the game of the year for me . . . But so far it is way down with the bargain bin stuff! Lol . . . Have to laugh or I'll go mad, oh wait, maybe I am for putting up with this inferior product!

Don't buy the game now.......I have the bug where you can't SAVE YOUR GAME !!!!!!!
That really hurts. Why play, when you can't save. They say they are working on it. Well, Whoopee.....!!!!!

To be honest it should never have shipped in this state! If this was something else, like a car, or other product, we'd be able to involve trading standards and such like to get the company to sort the problems out - it seems games developers are beyond this and a law unto themselves. It also annoys me that people from the company were all over the media saying how great this game was (and all their reviewers) and now there is no one coming on these forums and answering questions. That's just bad form in my book! They are quite happy to take our hard earned cash, but not to give us what we paid for! In advance, if you preordered it like over 1 million people did.

The juddering/frame sync issue is the only problem I've seen on Xbox. None of the game breaking bugs encountered yet.

Text size isn't a problem for me. 1080p is of no significance at all if you're so far away you struggly with the text. I don't and still can't see the difference between 900 and the 1080p cinematics.

I have played at least a couple hours in White Orchard, but I don't see myself going beyond that until the stuttering/juddering is fixed. I had this same problem with Skyrim on PC, and it turned out simply locking the max FPS to 60 fixed it (hopefully the fix for TW3 is equally simple). I found the stuttering unacceptable then, and I still feel that it's unacceptable now. There is no way I will continue to play TW3 if the stuttering isn't fixed. If it isn't fixed, or can't be, then TW3 will forever be a defective product in my eyes, and I will seek compensation (refund) for it as one would for any other defective product.

on top of the text size, and the graphic glitches, i now have a situation where i cannot trade with any merchants/traders in the game except the very first one in the training area! i'm sure that can't be right - that i have to travel back to the start every time i want to sell something?! this game really isn't fit to be sold . . . grrrrrrrrr!

So, the "Can't save your Game" bug, will be fixed. When will I know it's fixed. Start the game every few hours this weekend and then try to save?
Wow, that would really be a lot of fun. This developer has the brains of a mule.

yes its worth playing, just remember to quit the game from the dash when finished.

apart from the save bug (that im working around), i find the font size to be annoyingly small. those problems aside, great game.
