XP Glitch Still A Problem

I'm currently level 12 and just completed "Family Matters." I received 0 XP for the level 6 recommended main quest. Any word on this? I thought the recent patch was supposed to fix this glitch...

I think 6 level or more above the quest level doesn't earn you xp...

Oh I didn't know that was built into the game... If it is, you miss out on a lot of XP to progress your character if you don't do quests in order. Can anyone else confirm this?

I think Geber is correct. I'm nearing the end of my first play through, and I'm not sure it really affects you much. It seems difficult to get all the quests done so that you get all the XP. I think you want to keep your XP down a little so you don't miss out on the large XP gains in the quests towards the end of the game. And, I don't seem to be missing the XP I missed very much.

I do not know if this is true, but I read that quests you had before patch 1.04 may still have the XP glitch. Did you have the quest in your log before 1.04?

LOOOOL let me correct you guys, 6 levels or more quest EARN YOU XP. i can assure you that. I am level 33 and doing quests in skellige that's level 14-18, IT ALWAYS give me 5xp at the end of each quest. 1.04 fixes it, try reinstalling the update, delete game data first.

Do you mean uninstall the game first or game saves? How do you uninstall the patch on ps4?

yes if you delete the game data it will uninstall the game as well as the patches and add-ons.
