I am one of them. I started the game and I played the prologue until you talk to Yen in Vyzima. I just fell in love with Yen and felt curiosity about her and Ciri.

I just bought all the books and I paused the game during 2 weeks until I finished them.

The best thing I could do.

VIVA YENNEFER!!!

In Ebbing and Geso, stories began to circulate. About the Wild Hunt. About three ghostly riders.

Stories were devised and spun in the evenings, in pubs that smelled of molten lard and fried onions, in peasant's parlours, in smoke-filled barracks, taverns, hamlets, tar factories, forest cabins and border posts. Stories were told, invented and exaggerated. About war. About heroism and chivalry. Abut honour and friendship. About treachery and betrayal. About sincere and faithful love that always triumps in the end. About crime and the punishment felons always have to face. About justice that is always just.

About truth that always comes up to the surface, like an olive in water.

They invented fables and they enjoyed these fables. They indulged in the fairytale fiction. Since everywhere around them, in life, things were all different.

The legend grew. People listened as if in a trance, captivated by the emphatic words of the fabulist who told the story about the witcher and the sorceress. About the Swallow's tower. About Ciri, the witcheress with the scarred face. About Kelpie, the magical black mare.

About the Lady of the Lake.

That came later, many years later. Many, many years later.

But the legend already sprouted and grew among the common folk, like a seed soaked by warm rain.

Andrzej Sapkowski, The Lady of the Lake

Putting game artwork onto the cover of the English version though is just ....arrrrggggghhhhh.....

Exactly what maestro Sapkowski never wanted ... for a good reason.

I love this incarnation of the Lodge  Switch Keira and Francesca's faces and make Sheala look a bit older and it'll be almost perfect.

Wait...there is some serious amount of speculation involved. We don't know much about the concrete appearance of many of them after all.

This is beyond stupid, this is madness. It's like saying "fuck you, Sapkowski, you old sucker" right on the cover of his own novels...

Fanservice.I wonder if Triss had the scars and chestnut hair in the games would she be as popular?

Honestly, for me in the books Triss was way more beautiful. Bright blue as Lapis Lazuli eyes and amazing chestnut loose hair.
In the game she has kinda marsh coloured eyes and that like one my friend said "bull's balls" haircut.

But it is nice to see some original fan art, and not just recreating game characters...:D

That characterization of Yennefer is for me, the best one I've ever seen according to the books and Geralt's description. Yen is not what we call a "beauty" but beautiful in her own way, not very tall, with extraordinary violet eyes, raven black hair, thin lips and a little long nose. She is exotic.

Well,it's definitely more accurate than their appearance in the games. In this picture everybody has the right hair color and Triss and Sheala have no cleavage.

Agreed. Although the majority of the artworks done BEFORE Witcher 3 were imo more book than game related. ;)

Nah, as a fan of book Sheala De Tancarville I can tell, that she have black hair and dark eyes (dark brown or black). On this artwork she is cute, but if I was sorceress, I would not be scared of her when she speak, because I would think "awwww" all the time =)
The others are okay, near the girls I always imagined.

Agreed. IMO Sabrina, Triss and Fringie is beyound perfect. Yen is very good.
As for Sheala, I always portrayed her in my mind somewhere like that (only with her hair down and darker eyes -

Yen is too ugly, Margarita as well, Ciri has the wrong hair colour and Sheala looks too young.
