I choose yen because of the fact that i wanted ciri yen and geralt to be a happy familiy, wouldn't really work with triss. Also because of lack of a better alternative, while yen treats other people like disposable objects, triss has manipulated geralt in many ways, also she was part of the lodge.

That's the problem with many suggestions in the Triss thread. They don't care about the books lore and think Triss can take Yennefer's place in regard to Ciri. This is not just stupid but also insulting towards Ciri and Yen. It would completely ignore all the shit Yen went through to save Ciri. She got tortured by Vilgefortz and almost died because of her love towards her daughter.
I have even read some suggestions to replace Yen with Triss in Kaer Morhen after you take UMA if you romanced Triss. As if Yen was there because she is Geralt's lover and not because she would do everything to save Ciri.

Ciri's a grown woman she doesn't need yen and Geralt to pretend at happy families for her sake. Geralt can still be father and yen mother if they are apart. I've certainly seen plenty of people suggest Triss should be at Kaer morhen too because she's been invited and a second sorceress would make sense. Can't recall seeing any say she should replace yen but there may be the odd rogue who holds such a view.
Ah well, it's mostly focused on the Ciri/Geralt relationship
but I agree, I mentioned earlier that I'd have loved a short playable Ciri section on the boat to Skellige (in the ship's cabin maybe) where you get to talk with Yen, you could even have Triss entering afterwards and get an insight into their relationship I agree with this, I expected Triss and Yen to have much more interactions between them, there are people here who will know better, so correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they supposed to be best friends? The interactions they have are very limited and straight to business type of conversations.
Taking the events of the previous two games there are definitely some things between them that need clearing up. I read the section of one of the books that someone posted here, and Yen seems pretty angry at Triss for taking the interest in Geralt, so it seems to me she would be even more upset with what Triss has done while Geralt had amnesia. They only ever talk to each other after KM battle and shortly on the boat and while that is definitely not the most appropriate moment for them to lash out at each other, I think that a confrontation scene or maybe a scene showing that they are reconciled if the game wanted to show us that would be great at one point, probably at Novigrad during the final preparations.

I never wrote that Yen and Geralt should pretend to be a happy family. I actually never mentioned Geralt. It's about the relationship between Yennefer and Ciri, which is much much deeper than between Ciri and Triss.
When Ciri disappeared Yennefer went through hell to save her and got almost killed while doing this. Triss on the other hand spent her time executing the Lodge's orders. This relationship between Ciri and Yen developed in 5 books can't be just ignored.
And yes I have seen several similar suggestions. Going to Avallach's lab with Triss instead of Yen was another one. Same problem her. Yen goes to Avallach's lab because of her relationship with Ciri and not because she fucks with Geralt.

Also it's the wrong timing for such a conversation. It would basically just be a "lore" thing without any significance for the story. The real problem is much bigger than that and must be tackled much earlier in the game (actually already during the piss-poor intro video...). Both romances don't work "correctly" without that...
