Ciri can have only one mother!Well, unless this happens ;D

I don't like everything about their threesome. Looks wrong for me. :no

Seriously guys, one day and it's 40 pages to catch up. I'll just quickly run my thoughts over CDPR comments, a remarkable occurrence for this thread!

This is not the case and clearly evidenced by the fact that Ciri has little interaction with Triss as well.
It is not clearly evidenced by Triss example, because Triss is not Yen's equal, in neither Geralt's nor Ciri's relationship wise. I humbly beg to differ Sir!

The reason the focus is on Geralt and Ciri is fairly simple. Ciri is a, if not THE focal point of the game, yet she is a character that newcomers do not know at all. Our narrative is thus focused on a character that many players had no emotional investment in prior to the game. Through the many interactions between Ciri and Geralt, we showed that Geralt cares deeply about Ciri which translates to the player understanding why Geralt is doing what he is doing and more easily relating to those feelings.
I'm fairly certain that's a message everyone's got loud and clear from the start.
However, the part in bold is completely absent in Yen's case for anyone who didn't read the books. Hell, I've read all the books multiple times, and it was a nervous struggle waiting to see Yen again in Skellige (some 60-80 hours later), and see what are my options.

A regular Joe who's never played a Witcher game, but also people who've played previous games, are corralled towards Triss in a very misleading way, seeing as she makes appearance much sooner, if a player follows natural story development and lvl requirements.

It was that much more rewarding when I finally did catch up with Yen, and I'm sure most book readers will agree the wait was worth it, but it feels like it's our dirty little secret to know how important Yen is to both Ciri and Geralt. Nobody else is going to know consequences of romancing Triss, and just what kind of a person she is. These people are missing out, and we who know, are in minority because of it.

The same, incidentally, goes for Yennefer. The reason she is present in Kaer Morhen in the dream sequence at the beginning, is primarily because we need to establish that she is important to Geralt and thus why the player should care about finding her.
Yes, that was a very subtle detail, and also flashbacks and journal entries in W2 stating Yen's importance. It is somewhat, if not a lot in fact, diminished with a hasty scene in Vizima, without deeper representation until Skellige.
And even that would be perfectly OK, if she got her due in the end, by having more screen time with Ciri and Geralt.
Yes, Ciri is the star, but Yen means equally, if not more, to her than Geralt. This is beyond romance, this is family and a core quality of Sapkwoski's books.

It is debatable if we managed it at all points throughout the game, but I did want to correct the presumption that we reduced Ciri-Yennefer interactions because of Triss or Triss fans.

Cheers.
Takes a lot of balls made of meteorite to say that.
Please don't take my comments personally, I'm incredibly grateful for your attention and information provided. I'm merely hoping to contribute in a constructive way to the material Marcin and his crew are overseeing (hopefully).

To end on a positive note, I've found a more complete version of Yen from the book cover.
It is pretty much what I imagined when reading the books, long before playing the game.
Not to say Yen in game is not absolutely great, I just expected her hair to be more curly and, well, stormy. Also, the Cindi Crawford mole... I wanna poke it with a stick, like in Austin Powers. I wanna take it off even more, like in Hot Shots 2

One thing is your interpretation of where are the incongruences another is what CDPR team realize what don't worked with their real plan of how their game ought be.

Of course but that's no different to every other piece of feedback including the stuff in this thread. Only difference is that they have confirmed in a general sense that there are unplanned incongruences with Triss that will be addressed.

Yeah, it's sad that Triss need to be drunk to kiss Geralt...
