2. Replace Yen with Triss in the dream sequence

I also want more Yen, Zoltan, Dandelion, Fringilla... more of the witchers even... Eskel has no side quests for example

This cast of characters Sapkowski and CDPR created... is a double edged sword. We just will ALWAYS want more....

I can't accept the reason of people disregarding the lore so that it suits their way of thinking.

If we take examples from other great RPG that have romances

1. Mass Effect
2. Dragon Age

IIRC, both of these games do not have books before them to give the inspiration. So the game itself builds the lore and the romance option.

As for the Witcher, the books are the source of inspiration and the lore for the world are already there. To disregard it is to just say I don't care about history.

It is like, wanting Princess Leia to be married to Luke Skywalker after Return of the Jedi. Just because "I like them to be together".

I can understand fan fiction where you just take the settings and character, and write your own story about it. But the game is still part of the lore (correct me if I am wrong here).

So, to disregard all that have happen in the book just to suit your way how the character should have developed?

Beeeeeecause, even if inspired by books, it's still an RPG based on choices!
And as long as there is choices people will do what bests suits them! Easy peasy!

I do agree, up to a point. But as the game have books as the lore, you need to really be faithful to it.

If you really want Triss, please make the break up with Yennefer more believable (Blasphemy!)

But, to get a developer to add content just because you are not satisfied with the content? It is like asking George Martin to stop killing people in Game of Thrones.

I see your point. In W3 you can romance Triss or Yennefer. It's choice you make but still people contimue to complain. Tell me why?

All good books are like that....

You know... that is the only thing that really annoys me at times on these forums
People not caring about the books.

The game is so much better if you have the knowledge from the books. The perspective switches a lot on lots of topics. You dont trust Avalach, because you know what he wanted from Ciri. You anderstand Geralt choice of romance. You have Strong attachment to Ciri, you cheer for her every single time. Knowledge of the books makes playing witcher series overall a greater experience.

"Some people want more Triss than Yennefer and we are thinking what we can do to make it work." Well, if the game director said this in an interview, thay're really going to do something at this point. I just hope that there won't be any bad consequences for Yen...

So the game is official lore. So the other team needs to accept that Yen is Ciri's mother and Geralt is Ciri's father.

That just torpedoed their arguments.

If you like the Witcher games. Love them even. Bought them and like CDPR and the lore and characters.

Then you have no excuse for NOT reading the books. Especially when there are free translations out there.

There is no other way to see it IMHO

I meant... what happened with those players who chose Shani instead Triss in TW1 and later they saw how in TW2 Triss is the only option and has lot of content? Because it's the same thing they're complaining about this game.
