I tried to do this, but it appeared bugged to me. When I spoke to Yen, I received the same dialogue prompts that she had in Skellige. I was actually never able to give the crystal to anyone, due to this bug. Apparently, it did work for others but I didn't get the opportunity to do that.Guys I've bought the official Witcher 3 Prima guide (collector's edition with cool Grimoire book).
I've found out that in the secondary quest Redania's Most Wanted - at the end of the quest you get a crystal from Phillipa's hideout and you can bring it to Triss to check that item. I thought you could bring that ONLY to Triss etc. but it seems that you can bring that later to Yen too (if you don't give it to Triss).
The guide is saying:
"The objective to to take the crystal to Yennefer is available only if you've already begun Act II of the Critical Path (Main Quest: Ugly Baby), but haven't yet completed Main Quest: The Isle of Mist"
I'm wondering if any of you gave the crystal to Yen and what did she say? Is there any video of this scene? I tried to search on youtube but couldn't find.![]()
I'd like to know this as well. I did read some guides on the net and I remember one of them (I'd have to try and find it again) did equate to the Empress and Witcher endings as Ciri having degrees of self-confidence. Was said that the Empress ending to be Ciri as fully self-confident and the Witcher ending was her not fully aware of what she is capable of. I don't know if that was just the editor's spin on it (I assume so, though), but it was the only one to make such a firm statement. Wondering if that was because it originated in some official guide or not.I tried to do this, but it appeared bugged to me. When I spoke to Yen, I received the same dialogue prompts that she had in Skellige. I was actually never able to give the crystal to anyone, due to this bug. I'm curious if the guide provides any other background information on some of the seemingly inexplicable events in the game: does it provide any more backstory on the Hunt and their relationship to Geralt as a red rider? Does it provide any exposition on Eredin and his motives outside of what we are shown? Anything on Avallac'h or the White Frost? I know sometimes guides do provide some background on certain actions/concepts within the game and I'm wondering if they went into this or if it is written in a more 'facts' based manner restricting itself to quests and their outcomes.
Hello Charcharo - I guess you mean this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/World-Witcher-CD-Projekt-Red/dp/1616554827/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1434305462&sr=1-1&keywords=witcher+worldI gave it to Yen actually. I dont know what Triss says and kinda forgot what Yen said...
BTW, I want to ask you on those guide things, I want some Witcher world guide thing. Which one is that? I dont need the Prima Guide, but if that is only way to obtain Witcher world or grimoire book (with character bios and info) so be it.
Yes please...it will be much appreciatedShould I post photos from the Grimoire about the sorceresses? Yen got the biggest page It is really nicely done - it is basically little text about the characters - if you would be interested, let me know and I will take some pics.
The official prima guide - collector's edition actually have more pages that the normal one - in the beginning of the book is part called "FRIENDS, FOES and FACTIONS and it gives some explanations who the characters are and a little of backstory but I guess nothing really like motives and stuff - if you want dzbrown I can take some pics of that for you. You can read it and maybe you will find out some interesting "not known" information.I'm curious if the guide provides any other background information on some of the seemingly inexplicable events in the game: does it provide any more backstory on the Hunt and their relationship to Geralt as a red rider? Can't turn that down! :yes I may end up picking up The World of the Witcher as it looks interesting. I really like the fact that its written through different character perspectives. Luckily I had an old save. I had to fight the Djinn again but can't really go wrong re-watching the conclusion of The Last Wish. Here is the scene where you give the crystal to Yen; I imagine Triss and Yen's thoughts differ a bit on the revival of the Lodge.Guys I've bought the official Witcher 3 Prima guide (collector's edition with cool Grimoire book).

Thank you so much for thisLuckily I had an old save. I had to fight the Djinn again but can't really go wrong re-watching the conclusion of The Last Wish. Here is the scene where you give the crystal to Yen; I imagine Triss and Yen's thoughts differ a bit on the revival of the Lodge.

So this is kinda like World of Ice and Fire? A big encyclopedia about both books and games?Thank you guys for the answer - I will try to give the crystal to Yen in my current playthrough.

The Witcher World written by CD Projekt - it is AMAZING book - it is explaining both books and games stories and events and it is written and composed by Dandelion (LOL), Vesemir is talking about monsters and Yennefer is explaining magic and the religions - it is so far the BEST and most interesting PART - you have a feeling that she really wrote thatas a reviewer said:
"The third chapter concerns magic and religion. The magic section is perhaps the most intriguing information from the book because it is so well-composed and critically analyzed. The religion section is, well, about religion: the cult of Melitele, the Order of the Flaming Rose, Druids, etc. This chapter is narrated by powerful sorceress and Geralt's long-time lover, Yennefer of Vengerberg. Even more so than Vesemir, I thought a brilliant job was done in convincing the reader that it was her authentic voice - her stern attitude, dry wit, intellect, and intuition."
I definitely recommend this book to Witcher fans of the books and games - amazing read with even more amazing art from all Witcher games.
EDIT:
Should I post photos from the Grimoire about the sorceresses? Yen got the biggest pageIt is really nicely done - it is basically little text about the characters - if you would be interested, let me know and I will take some pics.
The Grimoire is more like nice little book (hardcover) - I guess the text is taken from the ingame Encyclopedia though (check the above post about the Sorceresses). It is great to have but it is more like a collectibleSo this is kinda like World of Ice and Fire? A big encyclopedia about both books and games?
And is a good read? This is exactly what I am looking for!
And the Grimoire is like an extension to it? But I need buy the Prima guide to get the Grimoire ?![]()
I think your English is as good, if not better, than many native English speakers on the Internet. So, I wouldn't be too hard on yourself.Btw. I'm not English speaker and my written English isn't really the best - I hope guys you can understand what I'm saying.
She's was never a member of the lodge!
It's funny how in this book Dandelion mentions, that Triss has chestnut hair.He must've seen some mutated chestnuts.
Thanks a lot for this! :cheers2:Anyway as I promised here are some quick photos from the Grimoire about our fav ladies - it seems the text is taken directly from the game Encyclopedia though but anyway just wanted to show you how the Grimoire look - please excuse the quality I am right now in really dark room so it is not the best - but the text is readable (I hope).
Well, she kinda was.For like five minutes. She's was never a member of the lodge!
Keeps going back and forth with that, they even acknowledge it in game, while also saying she is in game, all over the place.
Yeah she's supposed to have chestnut hair, A brown colored hair with a reddish tint, and blue eyes, but CDPR gave her a makeover.
