I know that part. The thing is - he's lying to her again (about not being with other woman) instead of just being honest - I mean , she can read his mind anyway..so what's the point?
Wait what? Besides if she reads his mind she will find nothing about Fringilla or Triss. They're both meaningless for him, just like you said. When they're reunited after such a long time, his memory is completely clear. He doesn't even realize there were other women in his life. All he sees is Yennefer. It's his moment of clarity. Not a moment of lies or excuses... Why would he bother her with nonsense and ruin the moment? His life basically started over after he found Ciri and Yen.
They did not realise when May came. They first noticed at night time, when they saw the bright, distance fires of Belleteyn. When Ciri, with strange excitement jumped onto Kelpie’s back and galloped towards the fires, Geralt and Yennefer took advantage of the intimate moment.
After removing the necessary clothes, they made love on a sheepskin on the ground. They made love urgently, in silence, without words. They made love quickly, however.
And then along came the climax and fulfilment, trembling and kissing each other’s tears, amazed at that fate had given them time to express their love.
‘Geralt?’
‘I’m listening, Yen.’
When I... When we weren't together, were you with other women?
'Sure! Listen my list...'
Not to mention Geralt actually cried right before that dialogue and so did Yennefer.
They were kissing their tears away from their faces. Excuse me, who is Fringilla?

No. There are much better and subtle ways to do that. For example:
'Were you with other women?'
'Well..I can't deny it. But now I'm with you and only you matter'
Look..I don't want to turn this thread into anti-Geralt. But it doesn't mean that I won't call him on his doucheness (when he's a douche) - esp in his relation to Yennefer. And especially when so many people think that it's always HER fault, that she's the 'bad, mean woman' in this duo.
I still think sleeping with Istredd is a far bigger dick move than sleeping with Triss, Shani and Fringilla combined.
This conversation reminds me of how annoying the lack of shits given for everyone in Geralt's hanse dying was.

Well, I don't. It happened in a completely different 'stage' of their relationship. And also Istredd wasn't just someone, but a guy whom Yennefer considered a serious business - he knew what he wanted (Yennefer) and he commited - in opposition to Geralt. Yen was also very honest about it.

She believes him after he said he only thought of her because he's really not lying. It's Geralt's own little way of thinking and while it isn't right, it's how he works. Sex and love are two different things and in Geralt's case, it's to the extreme. At least that's how I take it.
I'd almost think that to Geralt, the simple act of sex is his way of appreciating someone and having some fun at the same time. kay:

I definetly have to agree. Once you read through the books, you realize Geralt isn't exactly this great guy. Of course, seeing as we role play the game as Geralt, we are usually inclined to think he is this good guy main character, which is not the case. Geralt left Yennefer quite a few times, and got involed with a ton of women. As far as we know, Yennefer hasn't been nearly as eager to...betray her love for Geralt.
Also I'm super impressed how the popularity of this thread has basically sky-rocketedride:
