I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere, that she actually does call Ciri her daughter in Polish version during that scene. I don't how that got lost in translation.
Yes,she calls her daughter only in polish version.In english,russian and french she doesn't.

Its an important statement from yennefer and shows the relationship between them in another light.
I am really surprised but maybe they just assumed majority of english speaking player do not read the books hence will not understand why Yen calls Ciri daughter
It's mentioned that Yen calls Ciri daughter elsewhere (by Geralt for example), she just doesn't say that herself in the game.
That wouldn't be a very good explaination. From the get go (the prologue dream scene) the gamer is introduced to Yen-Geralt-Ciri relationship and the dynamic between Ciri and Yen. Also Geralt mentions Yen calling Ciri her daughter later in the game, as well as Philippa with her infamous "You and Yennefer play the parents..." line.
For me even without any knowledge of the books (I've only started with the books today) it was kinda obvious how Yennefer felt about Ciri...at least in the english version of the game. I didn't need her to call Ciri daughter to know that this is what she is to her. Actually I think CDPR did a great job establishing that aspect, even though the game could use more Ciri-Yenn-Interactions.
I agree, I think it was portrayed fine. Still one more cute scene JUST between Yen and Ciri wouldn't hurt
I really hope CDPR doesn't do anything stupid, i. e. unbalance the romance content in favor of Triss, after the Triss enthusiasts outscream for more content here on the forums. Triss has a nice romance in the Game, but this Game is more about Cirilla and to her Yennefer is more important why she naturally gets more screentime, I hope CDPR does not forget that.
Yennefer doesn't actually get more screentime than Triss. Yennefer gets Skellige, Triss gets Novigrad and both of them have extensive plots on both.
There's not that much more Post-Kaer Morhen.

I think adding more Triss content would have amounted to maybe 2 or 3 scenes at best, allowing you some emotional follow-up to the events of the Lighthouse. Especially with no mention of Ciri's role in their lives.
I.e. no need for MASSIVE NEW CONTENT.
I also would have appreciated for additional Yennefer content:
* The ability to tell people that Yennefer and I had broken up (like Cerys and Philippa).
* The chance to talk with Yennefer as a friend following the break-up. She just brushes you off.
* A Ciri/Yennefer/Geralt scene even if they're "magically divorced."
* Finding out what Yennefer's plans are if she and Geralt are quits.
Something like:
"Oh don't worry about me, Geralt, I'll be fine. I might look up Istredd again or see if there's any other heroic fools out there looking for the great love of their lives. I suspect I'll travel for awhile, get far away from all this death and destruction. I'll always be there for you and Ciri, though. Just a megascope call away."
* I'd also like ending slides for her, Triss, Dandelion, and Zoltan.
